We just had an absolutely incredible dinner at Locanda del Bartoccio. My wife and I showed up without reservations and still were seated in under 5 minutes. Yes, it was a table inside, but like I said...no reservations. If you want to dine with the Elite on the Piazza, I highly recommend making reservations, even the same day, they will likely accommodate.
Okay...to the meal:
Leonardo welcomed us into the dining room and gave us the specials of the day. My wife had the special pasta...Umbracelli with sausage and cream sauce with a ridiculous amount of whole black truffles shaved on top. I had the Bavette steak with roast potatoes and we spilt the Antipasta Tricolor...a delicious blend of fresh sautéd tomatoes and fresh basil pesto with the most magnificent pillow of burrata in the middle of this masterpiece!!!
Everything was impeccable. Steak was cooked perfectly, pasta was elegant and delicious, the antipasto was next-level great!
And did I mention how completely wonderful Leonardo was?
All served in a beautiful space that was warm and inviting. This was one of the great meals we had in Perugia!!
