Fantastic freshly prepared food in an unassuming setting.
We went here with our friend and her pisana who both have villas in San Casciano. The owner sent out a large board with various salumi and cheese. The cappicola was possibly the best one I have had, rich, fatty and flavorful.
I opted for the truffle ravioli and was served three huge pieces which were filled with cheese and truffles. I also tried the wife's pici bolognese which was fabulous, our friend's grilled lemon-rosemary lamb and her friend's cloud-soft gnocchi. All of this was served with fresh focaccia and local white and red wines.
We then split a crème caramel which was light and delicious and a hazelnut semifreddo which tasted like torrone.
The owners and staff were all very friendly and the prices were very reasonable considering the quality of the food. read more
