Despite the higher end feel, it does appear as though they educate the public that comes in, there are maps of wine regions, the grapes grown in those regions, and advertisements for wine tastings. This is the place that you go in to find a bottle of special wine, something specific or to learn a bit more. It's definitely not a warehouse, and doesn't pretend to be. We sat around the table and tasted a selection of delightful and luxurious wines while enjoying a bit of charcuterie ("Sorry, it's January and we haven't stocked our cheeses after the holidays."). My favorites were an Assyrtiko from Santorini and a luxurious Pinot Noir from a small producer in the southern Burgundy region.
