I had never heard of Third Hand Bike but trusted her and the reviews and decided to bring it here. From what I understand, they are a non-profit organization comprised of volunteers. They don't necessarily do all of the work, they help you correct the issues and understand the how's and why's. They did indeed step in and do a great deal of the work, which I truly appreciated, just as I did the nostalgic conversations about bike designs over the decades. I highly recommend this group to anyone needing bike repair and if you're looking to purchase a used one, they have several in stock.

They basically set you up in their system, takes less than 5 minutes. They ask absolutely no questions and after checking you in the first time they provide you with a key tag that you simply show each time you go in the future. They have both a drive thru, and a walk up option to pick up fresh food. If you choose to do the walk up, they do have parking spots available. Everyone that is working / volunteering is kind and judgement free. What I have found is that many that are in need of food in Columbus do not have the proper transportation. I have stopped by All People's Fresh Market and picked up a box of food to drop off to those in need. The joy those families have when I arrive with a big box of food is totally worth it. If you are in need of fresh food, or you know someone that is, please pass this info on. All People's Fresh Market is a savior.

I was looking at my decades' collection of t-shirts from wonderful events, and realized that I…read morecould wrap myself in good memories without looking like a 1980's relic. A T-Shirt Quilt! So I mailed a box of my favorite t-shirts to the good people at Deaf Initiatives. They assembled a quilt pattern using the t-shirt graphics, applied a backing to strengthen the t-shirt square, added a grid and border, then handed it off to a quilter who's machine made wavey quilt stitches over the entire face of it. I got to choose the quilt size, as well as color of grid and backing. It's now a trophy piece, suitable for a bed or a wall hanging. This is a multiple bonus for anyone. The quilt making provides jobs for the deaf, perpetuates the art of sewing, and returns a beautiful legacy quilt to enjoy every day and to pass on along with the t-shirt stories that it displays.
