The store used to be a Montgomery Ward or JC Penney back in the 50's. There are two floors and you have to use the stairs to get up there.

They have a selection of men's, women's clothing, furniture, shoes, CDs, artwork and books. This thrift store is extraordinary in what they do! 96% of each dollar goes towards aiding in HIV care and supporting those suffering with it. They offer free on site HIV testing. There were around 10 young men waiting to get tested. I really liked some of the furniture pieces and artwork in this store, unfortunately it was too big to bring back on my flight home with me. My friend purchased around 12 CDs at $2 each. I would love some of them too, but I haven't had anything to play CDs on in so long. Out of the Closet is a thrift store that supports a wonderful cause. Some things might be marked up a bit more than you would expect but if you look closely, those items tend to be of high quality.. Like name brand items. Third, they keep the place really clean and organized. As with all thrift stores, you really need to dig around... but at least you know where to start depending on what you're looking for. Lastly, there's a free parking lot out back, which we all know is hard to find in the Short North. If you're someone that enjoys thrifting, add this spot to your list of places to check out.
