They have a selection of men's, women's clothing, furniture, shoes, CDs, artwork and books. This thrift store is extraordinary in what they do! 96% of each dollar goes towards aiding in HIV care and supporting those suffering with it. They offer free on site HIV testing. There were around 10 young men waiting to get tested. I really liked some of the furniture pieces and artwork in this store, unfortunately it was too big to bring back on my flight home with me. My friend purchased around 12 CDs at $2 each. I would love some of them too, but I haven't had anything to play CDs on in so long. Out of the Closet is a thrift store that supports a wonderful cause. Some things might be marked up a bit more than you would expect but if you look closely, those items tend to be of high quality.. Like name brand items. Third, they keep the place really clean and organized. As with all thrift stores, you really need to dig around... but at least you know where to start depending on what you're looking for. I always leave with something in my hands no matter the day I go in. There are true gems to find here, my favorite items to look at are the Knick knacks and jewelry. The prices are extremely inexpensive on top of that. The only "down" side about this place is that there is a minimum spending with card use at checkout but like I said I always find something so this has never been an issue for me. This is one of my favorite thrift spots in the Columbus area & trust me I've been to a lot.

My friend made arrangements for a private shopping experience for our group of friends during pre-covid times. Katya had snacks and champagne for us to indulge in while we shopped and tried on clothes. When I was told the shop specialized in caftans I wasn't quite sure what to expect. How many vintage caftans can a studio hold? First, not all of the caftans are vintage. Some are newer fabrics paired with older designs. Second, there are also jewelry, hats, rompers, dresses, and shoes! Third, there was more than one room so take your time so you can explore all of the space and find items you like. If we had a question about any item such as care (vintage sometimes comes without care labels) or approximate size in today's world, Katya was able to assist. Nowadays she has items available on her site and on Facebook. You can even sign up for the S.R. Provisions monthly subscription for $35 where a box of items curated around a them is sent to you. I have worked at the Ohio thrift on south high and know that the cashiers and the managers are supposed to stay on top of the food shelves by the register. They are just dirty and don't care here clearly.

I forget where, but I asked the lady at the checkout my question and we ended up somehow talking about homelessness and how bad the opioid epidemic was getting out of hand. We talked for a bit and I told her about myself truthfully. She recommended that I try to get into the Volunteers of America veterans shelter. I highly recommend this place. They kept an eye on you, watched out for you and made sure you had everything you needed for a good start to succeed !!! They truly cared.
