Stay FAR away from this sad little wannabe "gallery." The owner, Cassandra Sohn, is out here acting like she's Norman Rockwell's long-lost twin -- please. She's not visionary; she's just delusional. Her attitude? Rude. Her so-called "art"? Tired. Dated. Like, if dust could be pretentious, this would be it. In my opinion, you're better off buying in the art section of Five Below.....

Instead of adhering to the acceptance/denial notification date she originally stated in the specifications, the gallery director switched to a Hollywood style maneuver and told me I was, "shortlisted", with a NEW notification date a month away, thus rendering my artworks in limbo and unavailable for exhibition elsewhere. I contacted Ms. Soon and demanded a refund. After her sad attempt at convincing me that by having shortlisted several of my pieces she had indeed fulfilled her obligation of timely notification, I contacted my credit card company. Bank of America has no tolerance for this type of manipulation of terms and upon their investigation granted my full refund.

So many unusual and beautiful pieces of art in this gallery! A photographic piece including people walking with umbrellas was my favorite and my husband loved the photomosaics by Candice CMC that involved donuts. The Wit Gallery is definitely worth a visit while in Lenox.

Visual Arts, 2 Galleries, each gallery has a new show every month. They've got musical concerts of all genres. Additionally, they have their staple events such as Cabaret @the Whit, Opera Notte @the Whit, Classical Music Series @the Whit, live Comedy @the Whit, Theatrical performances, etc. They also have a wonderful discussion series: Talking Books @the Whit and Talking Arts @the Whit. Depending upon the performance, such as Cabaret, which is set up in a "Bistro" Setting, where you can order delicious light apps and beer and wine at a very reasonable prices. The Whit, also host First Fridays Artswalks' Afterparty; and now they will be hosting the official Afterparty of the Third Thursdays of PIttsfield. She may have mentioned they moved up here when everything hit the fan in '20(?). Located in Lenox, MA, Craftsman carries metal, wood and glass pieces handcrafted by local artists. We kept our gifts very reasonable when we picked out something locally made in the Berkshires and settled on a vase for my Mom and another for my auntie-in-law. Irene was super kind and topped it even more when she delicately boxed and ribbon-tied our vases. While prices aren't completely accessible, each piece is unique in style and has a story behind it.

The Turn Park Space is a fairly large location spread out over many acres. There is a small river flowing next to the park with high rocky outcrops. They even placed a few sculptures on this escarpment to view from the other side. We both enjoyed our time there- my favorite piece was titled "Reflection", by Nikolai Silis.
