I must have been the first because the staff seemed surprised to see the offer. I now have memories of works of art that are a little rich for my budget ( Massai was over $200k)

I was a bit intimidated at first when I walked in with my family since the art pieces are so delicate and the gallery was pretty quiet. Kim greeted us instantly and made us feel so welcomed -- and we set off to explore after learning a bit more about the gallery. The gallery is two-stories high, and you're able to get an AMAZING view of the Chihuly chandelier from the second-floor opening. The art pieces on display were incredible and featured artists like Martin Rosol, David Huchthausen, Lino Tagliapietra, and many others. It was my first time seeing a lot of their art up close and I would recommend coming to this gallery if you're interested in exploring different types of glass art. I wish I had checked in on Yelp for the free catalog! Remember to do that if you visit.

Friendly owner who sources items directly from Japan. The stone Buddha statues/pagodas are perfect if you want to create a Japanese garden, much higher quality than your local garden store. Take time to sift through, admire the craftsmanship, and find your treasure! To find the place, be sure to go down the driveway between two stone statues, there is some parking in back. It is next to a great bakery/coffee shop spot.

So many unusual and beautiful pieces of art in this gallery! A photographic piece including people walking with umbrellas was my favorite and my husband loved the photomosaics by Candice CMC that involved donuts. The Wit Gallery is definitely worth a visit while in Lenox.

Instead of adhering to the acceptance/denial notification date she originally stated in the specifications, the gallery director switched to a Hollywood style maneuver and told me I was, "shortlisted", with a NEW notification date a month away, thus rendering my artworks in limbo and unavailable for exhibition elsewhere. I contacted Ms. Soon and demanded a refund. After her sad attempt at convincing me that by having shortlisted several of my pieces she had indeed fulfilled her obligation of timely notification, I contacted my credit card company. Bank of America has no tolerance for this type of manipulation of terms and upon their investigation granted my full refund.

If they haven't already put a "No dogs allowed" sign on the door, it's best to leave your pup outside or at home.

We kept our gifts very reasonable when we picked out something locally made in the Berkshires and settled on a vase for my Mom and another for my auntie-in-law. Irene was super kind and topped it even more when she delicately boxed and ribbon-tied our vases. While prices aren't completely accessible, each piece is unique in style and has a story behind it.
