¡Hola! ¿Qué tal? We are Marco and Petra, founders of /foodsteps/ which originated from our desire to bring value to the travelers, who always search for an authentic local food experience (like us).
We've previously interviewed every single collaborator taking part in the experience in order to narrow it down to the ingredient-driven chefs and purveyors of local artisanal products, who share our food philosophy.
We organize food & wine tours, wine tastings, winery tours and ad-hoc experiences if required.
History
Established in 2018.
local foodsteps
Three years ago, an idea of introducing Spanish cuisine as he remembers from his mum (slow food, no cheating, homemade, quality ingredients) to the tourists visiting Granada started roaming all over his restless mind. His main desire was to contribute to making their stay a bit more memorable through a genuine food experience.
And here we are today, hoping to broaden your food horizons and pass on a bit of legacy received from Marco's mum.
Marco did not fully inherit his mum's cooking skills so he cannot host you in his own restaurant but he did follow in her "foodsteps", always wanting to share the best meal with his loved ones.
Both Marco and me are very proud of the city we live in and the amazing food products at our reach, which we would like to enjoy with you and become your food guides for a day. All we want to achieve is to enrich your stay in Granada and our best way to do it is to share our passion about the Spanish gastronomy with you.
Meet the Business Owner: Petra H.
Hey! I am Petra, an insanely obsessed freak about the languages, which sparked my curiosity about different cultures, people and their way of living. I am Slovak and have been living in Spain for the last 8 years between Madrid and Granada. I was incredibly lucky with the locals I met at the very beginning when Spain was still a foreign country to me and they tried their best to make me feel welcome and they managed! It was simply a love at first sight.
Living in Spain opened my horizons in terms of the gastronomy and how it is deeply rooted in their culture. Now I cannot stop exploring new products, dishes, flavors and the history behind, which is so fascinating to me. I gradually became a total foodie and thanks to my Spanish love, who is even bigger epicure than me, I discovered a brand new way of traveling and enjoying the journey in a different way. Now that we travel the whole trip spins around the most authentic food places we are able to find. We love to travel to places wher
