We have been there twice since moving from Dalkey to Ballytrent, Rosslare Harbour area. The food is excellent, the service prompt, even when it is packed like the first time (a Saturday evening) and the staff friendly. I had a fillet steak (well it is a Seafood and Steak Bar"), cooked to "perfection" Med Rare. Jennie had baked cod fillet (she loved it), and our new landlord (who was treating us) had the grilled Dover sole.
Second time was a lunch, midday Friday. Both Jennie and Simon (who was doing a short documentary on me and it was his treat - expenses) had the calm chowder, I had the Baked Crab Mornay. All delicious. Once our finances become healthy again, we will go there, it is only about 15 minutes drive away. read more
