I'm going to keep this very short. LMNO is overrated. The food was middle-of-the-road. The drinks were tasty but very light on the alcohol. Our server was MIA the entire time and the manager had to wait on us. Extremely overpriced for what you get.

LMNO has a very cute aesthetic and friendly service. However, the food is definitely not worth the prices. The avocado toast was the most expensive avocado toast I have ever had at $18 ($14 + $4 for egg, even though their menu says egg is only $2 extra). It was under-seasoned and came in a tiny portion (see my photo - the lemon is for scale). The octopus nachos were good & spicy but again expensive at $25. My boyfriend got the burger which he enjoyed.

We found this place randomly while in Fishtown and it was an amazing find! We came when it was brunch but they also had an all day menu! The service was fast and out our waitress was friendly! The tacos come with 3 each, however the birria tacos come with 2! Here was a good place to bring your friends and get some good Mexican food!

The vibes in LMNO are so cute. It would be a cute place to have a celebratory dinner because there are large tables. I got the Baja fish tacos and they were SOO good. I love a good fish taco and I'm glad I found a place with a delicious one. The crab guacamole was also pretty good. The only thing I didn't like was my guava cocktail. It was 90% tequila, just a little strong for my taste for a dinner. The service was nice too and very quick with everything.

I started coming here when they first opened and absolutely love the ambience. It's so pretty inside. And the food was amazing. I have gone recently and they did change chefs so it's a different taste to the food but still pretty good. I love their motels and their steak tacos are my go to.

Went here with two friends for dinner and it was great!! We split a margarita pitcher & the nachos (both amazing) and I got the chicken tacos! The vibe in there was very cool and i liked the lighting. Over server Brett was awesome, recommending stuff to us and checking in on us. If you're in the area definitely check this place out!

I always say that the Mexican food scene in Philly sucks, but this place brings the flavor. The interior design is gorg, the service is quick and friendly. We enjoyed everything we ordered. Chips and guac, nachos, esquite and veggie tacos were all fabulous. My one critique is the tacos were a little greasy. The bathrooms were clean. We didn't try any of their drinks unfortunately.

I haven't been to LMNO in a while - I don't think I even did any reviews in the past because I went straight to eating! This time around I did manage to get ONE picture lol. First thing to start, the service was great. As soon as we got to the restaurant, we were seated immediately. The wait staff was polite and attentive. The ambiance is nice - but just be aware that the music is a bit on the louder side. Now, onto the food, we ordered a few things: 1. Nachos - Birria 2. Al Pastor Tacos 3. Carne Asada I only managed to get a picture of the nachos since they were the first thing to come out. The nachos were delicious and I would recommend as an app. It's large and quite filling with lots of meat on top! The tacos were good as well! Perfect portions of meat, salsa, and pineapples! Carne asada was a bigger portion that I had expected. The pictures that others have uploaded aren't representative in my opinion. I'd say that it was probably a 6oz steak. The spring onions that I comes it are so good. All in all, great experience, I'll be coming back here again!

The best nachos I've ever had! LMNO is fun and beautifully decorated. We were seated right away, and our server was great! We shared the pomegranate guac and their delicious home made chips, then we shared the veggie tacos and the chicken nachos. Hands down BEST nachos anywhere. Crispy homemade chips, plenty of cheese, 2 amazing sauces and no empty chips. The chicken was seasoned and cooked perfectly. The veggie tacos were also amazing... mushroom forward, which is how I like it. We also tried a couple of fun drinks and tea and a really great cappuccino. We would definitely recommend and return to LMNO!

From the moment you walk in, LMNO delivers a full experience with a vibrant atmosphere, great energy, and a menu that seriously impresses. The vibes are funky, fun, and Instagram-worthy without trying too hard. But the food? Next level. We started with the ceviche, which was bright, citrusy, and super fresh, the kind of dish that makes you pause between bites just to appreciate the flavor. Then came the Baja fish tacos, which were perfectly crisp with a creamy slaw and just enough heat to keep you coming back. The Al Pastor tacos brought the expected smoky sweet pineapple punch, but the real standout for me was the Arabes tacos...an absolute sleeper hit. Deeply spiced, savory, and totally different from the rest of the menu in the best way possible. Think Middle Eastern shawarma meets Mexican street food, sensational!! Over all cool ambiance, a great playlist, and flavors that push the envelope while staying grounded in tradition. LMNO gets it right. Definitely going back and doubling up on those Arabes tacos.

The vibes and ambiance are always great, especially in the more hidden lounge area! Great service with kind staff. Food is very good and particularly good value for happy hour!

We went here during one of the block parties which was probably the issue but it was so loud. There were people next to us thay we wouldn't hear without shouting. I u destiny that's probably not how it always is. That being said the mango margarita was pretty good with a good ballance of sweetness. The tahine on the rim wasn't just salt but also a jam which was really nice. The nachos had a good amount of toppings, a some good flavors and a decent portion. All of it was decently priced and the staff was nice. It was super busy so they didnt notice us often when we needed stuff but that's probably just because of how packed and loud it was. Overall a good spot and probably a better spot when it's jot packed.

Always a pleasant dining experience here at LMNO. A random Tuesday outing to celebrate late birthdays and other milestones over perfect oysters, and some of the best margaritas I've had in some time. I ordered the birria tacos, which were superbly cooked and delicious. I devoured them so there are no photos. My friend order the steak tacos, and again, no photos because when they came we both stopped talking and dove straight in. Talk about an awesome taco Tuesday! Service was great, and as always the ambiance perfect! I couldn't believe I didn't get my usual snapper, but the tacos proved it was worth the switch up. Lol

We were greeted as soon s we walked in by both the bartender and one of the owners. Our server brought water as soon as we sat down. She was attentive and helpful with explanations. The food here is authentic! Several different kinds of guacamole are available. We chose the one with pomegranate. It added a nice crunch and flavor. One with grasshopper was available. lol that was a no for me! The trio of empanadas were delicious. We shared a carnitas taco platter and branzino platter. The tacos were tasty. The branzino was cooked nicely with good flavor. The rice and beans and Brussels spouts and mushrooms were all delicious. I'll definitely be back!

The meat in the tacos was so dry that it was hard to chew and swallow. Some of the pieces were cooked to a crisp. No amount of salsa could make them better. I'm sorry I didn't take photos of the tacos, but trust me me I get no pleasure from leaving a bad review for this place; I am not lying or exaggerating. I thought they were going to be one of our local gems. I choked down a half a taco, gave the rest to my husband and he couldn't eat them either. The churros actually had raw batter in the middle and the outside was rubbery and hard at the same time. You could barely bite through it. I'm a cook and I know that that is about keeping the oil at an even temperature to get the inside done and not overcook the outside. Someone in the kitchen did not know what they were doing. The thing is, I have had their food before and it was pretty good. I don't know if there is a new chef or what happened, but I can't trust them after this experience.

Honestly El Rey is great!…read more As a Los Angeles native, Mexican food is always a "not as good as California" affair, and with that bar, it's hard to find anything that holds a candle. But El Rey is good in its own right, taking familiar foods and flavors, with a bit of a fancier twist, and making a good meal that I love to eat and enjoy! Seating and service here is friendly and prompt. Even when it's pretty loud and seems packed, there are always a handful of open tables available, where we've usually been able to be seated almost immediately. Such was the case this evening. We were on a bit of a time crunch so we ordered immediately and our food came out so fast that the waiter for our table was surprised as the food beat him with our napkins to the table. We ordered the Tuna Tostada and the Yucatan Spiced Chicken Fajitas. Both were amazing! Good thing for our tight timeline, the food was gone as fast as it came. The waiter helpfully recommend the house hot sauce, which was certainly spicy and a good compliment on our fajitas. Overall, a great place to dine for Mexican-inspired! Laying aside my California bias, El Rey is a fun time every time we come.

There were booths, tables and bar seating available with Wonder Years playing on a few TVs with warm lighting and the incandescent Christmas lights that are reminiscent of Grandma's house (bonus points for nostalgia!) I requested a booth and she promptly sat me. She brought me water, menus and explained the specials to me. As I perused the menu, I was overwhelmed with the options available to me. I ultimately landed on one of the dinner specials (Cabernet braised brisket with a side of carrots & buttery mashed potatoes), chips & salsa and a Paloma. Chips landed first and while both salsas were fresh, I still felt the need to add salt. (Everyone's palate is different) Food & drink arrived simultaneously. Paloma was made strong but tasted more like a classic margarita as opposed to the tang of grapefruit that comes with a Paloma. Still good! The food was essentially cold & looked like it had been sitting for awhile being served to me but all the flavors were there. The brisket fell apart, I didn't even need a knife to cut it. The carrots were tender and the mashed potatoes were buttery. I would 1000% go back for the drinks and service, however I may get something different on the menu.
