Considering how many times I've been here, it's about time I've reviewed this place and given how…read morepleased I was with it upon my first trip to check out this gym up until now when I no longer even live in Indiana anymore (but Louisville is close enough to drive to work out here when I visit friends and fam in the area). Every time I head bk to Haubstadt, I make sure to go to Bob's Gym, I dont even visit all my family each time I'm in the area and certainly no other establishment each and ever time I come back. So, it might be fair to say this spot is my favorite in all of Southern Indiana, period. Given that I've never been a gym rat or super into working out in public, that seems like a crazy sentence for me to state, but this place has a lot more than originally meets the eye (and especially the name, I really think the name made me think at first the place would just be a room with a few weights and dumbbells, but it's an-all-in-one workout, spaday, and rejuvenation center if you take advantage of all its perks! First of all, the Hydro massage chairs...are worth the whole membership. 10 minutes of absolute heaven and relaxation. And since they're never full, you can just ask the person working up front (real late most nights one guy is a total hottie too, but I don't get creepy and ogle him, unless he ever says he's okay with that, then of course I will, but that's just a potential extra, I do come here to work out...and the hydro chairs). It's open 24/7, which rules for a night owl like me! Do you know how awesome it is to have a whole swimming pool to yourself at 2 in the morning? Only 2nd to those hydro chairs in rejuvenation and relaxation-building time. There's plenty of equipment. I do use that too. You can take cool classes like Pound (I like to think of it like "Stomp," but with well, pounding drumsticks and stuff instead of stomping barrels and stuff. You can also buy smoothies and even cute goodies with the logo and such. I might write more later tonight, or sometime past midnight to get that pool to myself again.

The park was renovated by the local Jaycees and partners back in 1985. There is a large paved parking lot next to the park which can easily hold the visitors to the area. The basketball goals are on the east side of the pool structure so they are separated from the playground area. Review #3200

I just joined as part of my Active and Fit membership and the gym now called BFit by Bob's more…read morethan met my expectations. The staff was friendly and the gym was much larger than I expected. Besides the cardio and weight areas there is a circuit room by the locker rooms, and hydro massage chairs. I'm fussy when it comes to my preferred elliptical equipment and BFit has some older Precor machines which is exactly what I like. I've tried some newer equipment elsewhere and found that they were harder for me to use. Call me old school but I'll support any gym with a Precor elliptical. Also, I went at mid-day and it wasn't crowded at all which is big plus for me as well.

Their billing office refused to cancel my membership unless I paid $150, which is well over half the price of the 12 month contract. Absolutely ridiculous. You'd think you would make that pretty clear to avoid these situations, especially in the middle of a pandemic. I was ready to part ways on a good note until this, I will never support this business again and I'll make sure to tell my friends and family to do the same. **there is also zero social distancing in place and not a mask in sight aside from employees.

I can't speak to the gym or their facilities directly. My review has to do with their memberships…read more My daughter signed up for a membership which I understand is a 1 year commitment. She had this automatically deducted from her (our) checking account. When she found that she was moving out of state they were VERY, VERY difficult to work with and while working on this they continued to pull money from the account. (Causing other checks to bounce) When I finally got ahold of someone (not voicemail) I was told that it was no problem and they could shut off the account...going forward. Their representative also implied that this could have been done earlier if we had only asked. (I have asked, my daughter has asked, my bank has asked, her boyfriend has asked.) I am not impressed with the "tactics" employed to stall the closing of the account!! If you choose to use their gym services be careful of their financial "arrangements"!! I just looked online and found that others have also had problems with the auto debit services here http://m.ripoffreport.com/r/bobs-gym/evansville-indiana-47712/bobs-gym-would-not-quit-depiting-checking-account-after-canceling-membership-evansville-i-336615

I had the membership under a month, paid the $50 entrance fee and the first month ($25). My friends went in an hour before me to cancel and they said no problem guys, didn't charge them a cent (nice). I went in to find a $100 charge dropped in my lap( not nice ). $75 cancelling fee plus $25 for the next month. Guy at the desk had the gall to tell me it was a good deal compared to their old policy. Charging me $75 for nothing is a good deal??? That is like two weeks of food for my college student ass. I get that the whole money making scheme is to get fat people in there to sign up and then quit but goddamn. Actual review: - Very busy, the few times I went I couldn't use any of the machines I needed for my workout plan. - Track sucks monkey nuts. Very small and has banking for some reason. - Otherwise its just a generic gym. - This location didn't even have a pool. - Thought the staff was nice until I tried to leave.
