Considering how many times I've been here, it's about time I've reviewed this place and given how…read morepleased I was with it upon my first trip to check out this gym up until now when I no longer even live in Indiana anymore (but Louisville is close enough to drive to work out here when I visit friends and fam in the area). Every time I head bk to Haubstadt, I make sure to go to Bob's Gym, I dont even visit all my family each time I'm in the area and certainly no other establishment each and ever time I come back. So, it might be fair to say this spot is my favorite in all of Southern Indiana, period. Given that I've never been a gym rat or super into working out in public, that seems like a crazy sentence for me to state, but this place has a lot more than originally meets the eye (and especially the name, I really think the name made me think at first the place would just be a room with a few weights and dumbbells, but it's an-all-in-one workout, spaday, and rejuvenation center if you take advantage of all its perks! First of all, the Hydro massage chairs...are worth the whole membership. 10 minutes of absolute heaven and relaxation. And since they're never full, you can just ask the person working up front (real late most nights one guy is a total hottie too, but I don't get creepy and ogle him, unless he ever says he's okay with that, then of course I will, but that's just a potential extra, I do come here to work out...and the hydro chairs). It's open 24/7, which rules for a night owl like me! Do you know how awesome it is to have a whole swimming pool to yourself at 2 in the morning? Only 2nd to those hydro chairs in rejuvenation and relaxation-building time. There's plenty of equipment. I do use that too. You can take cool classes like Pound (I like to think of it like "Stomp," but with well, pounding drumsticks and stuff instead of stomping barrels and stuff. You can also buy smoothies and even cute goodies with the logo and such. I might write more later tonight, or sometime past midnight to get that pool to myself again.

Besides the cardio and weight areas there is a circuit room by the locker rooms, and hydro massage chairs. I'm fussy when it comes to my preferred elliptical equipment and BFit has some older Precor machines which is exactly what I like. I've tried some newer equipment elsewhere and found that they were harder for me to use. Call me old school but I'll support any gym with a Precor elliptical. Also, I went at mid-day and it wasn't crowded at all which is big plus for me as well.

Do not throw your kid's birthday party here. The party leader didn't show and we had to organize…read moresomething ourselves on the fly. They still charged us for the party. Management terribly disorganized. The only reason they get two stars is because the kids had fun and the guy behind the counter didn't call the cops after I had a fucking meltdown. When he realized the teenage party organizer blew off his/her shift, I all ready had 20 elementary school kids accounted for. After ripping the manager a new one, I told him to give me the keys to the fucking equipment room - which he did or I would have kicked it in. I setup stations in the arena - think relay + boot camp. It was a lot of work on my part, but the kids had fun so I let the staff that was there live. Seriously, fuck this place.

From the…read moreminute the phone was answered to make the reservation until we left the event it was 100% perfect. Jeff was very accommodating with our needs, and customized different aspects of our rental to best suite our needs. I had tried many places before checking here (I didn't realize they did overnight parties) and I found Metro to be the most competitively priced and have the best facility. The lady from Metro who hosted our overnight was fantastic too. She was fun, friendly and welcoming to all our guests. The facility is huge with something to do for everyone! It also was very clean and well laid out. There are many convenient aspects to Metro if you are hosting a party including lockers for your guests, to an ice maker for your party needs, a concession stand open all night for your guests, video arcade games, batting cages, basketball, volleyball and of course their soccer field. If you are going to rent a facility for kids, and you need to have a lot of different activities for them, this is the best place!
