This restaurant has been a Bob Evans and one or two other restaurants. Now it is a very nice…read morerestaurant specializing in Puerto Rican food. The inside is decorated colorfully and is comfortable. I was not familiar with many foods on the menu, but I was adventurous and tried the special: Pastelon de Amarillo's - ground beef, cheeses, sweet plantains in a round dish. I asked for sweet plantains for a side. Next time I'll choose something else. That was too many plantains for me. Husband had grilled skirt steak with red beans & white rice. He ate almost everything - left some of the rice. He really enjoyed his dinner, and he, too, would like to return. Andrew was our wait staff and he was efficient and friendly. The prices were reasonable, and our booth was comfortable. I took home half of my meal as I didn't want to stuff myself. When reheated the next day, it was just as good. I hope this restaurant is here for many years!

The chicken was very good. Tasty and fall off the bone done. Plantains, rice, and cup of beans was excellent as well. The pasta salad was ok, felt the pasta was overcooked and mushy in my opinion. Had a citrus taste to it. Will try it again as I do not want to use one instance to judge. Felt the visit was a good one. Everyone enjoyed the ambiance and food.

Then we were ignored for over 5 minutes while other tables were seated and waited on. Got the idea that not speaking Spanish had something to do with it. We finally got the attention of a server. He said he wasn't our server but that he'd take care of us. He turned out to be very good. Regarding the food, we started with the empanada trio. They came out hot and crispy. The chicken and beef were good but not much filling. We didn't enjoy the pizza one at all. For meals we had the shredded pork with rice, beans and plantains and a Cuban sandwich. Our food was very good. We each ordered the lemonade. Got the bill and saw they were $7 each. Wow. Guess we should have checked the menu for prices of drinks. Not sure we'll go back inside but may get takeout in the future.
