I have done these operations previously when needed with no problem. At any rate, the next day my computer was totally locked-up with a virus or whatever. Couldn't get anything to work. Decided to take it to UDS as it is close to residence. The YOUNG man who we gave the information to acted like he didn't know how to spell his own name! When telling him the problem, he had a very far-away look on his face and barely said a word. In fact, he acted like he didn't know how to spell "PC"!! This was about 2:30 on May 1st (Wednesday). I asked him when he thought it might be ready and he said later that day. I told him I would be coming back until the next day so don't worry. I let Thursday pass and called them on Friday. They said they hadn't gotten to it yet but would start on it that day. (I believed it was the same young man I had talked to when I left the laptop as there was a very "duh" sound to the conversation!!) On Monday, early afternoon I called them again. They said the laptop was really messed-up and they would have to do a "factory reset" on it. I am familiar with that term and always understood it would delete all files, pictures, etc. I am 75 years old and not computer savvy at all but was worried about this "reset". THREE different times during the conversation I asked him about the loss of my files, etc. Each time he said I WOULDN'T lose any files, etc. as there was a way to reset that it would be okay!!!!! THREE TIMES he assured me all would be okay!!!! I told him to go ahead and do it then. The next afternoon I went to UDS Computer to pick-up my laptop. The older lady behind the counter was also rather "duh" acting and when I turned the PC on everything was GONE!!!!!!!!!! I had to bite my tongue big time. She called the young man to the counter as I had told her it was promised nothing would be deleted. He said it was so messed-up there was nothing he could do! I reminded him I asked THREE times if my files would be deleted and he said they would be fine. He then proceeded to tell me there "might" be a way to recover "some" of the files but wasn't sure and it would take a "long time"!! As I was afraid of exploding I told them no and asked what I owed. They charged me $96 to erase everything on my laptop!! They NEVER called me with any information. I had to call them!! Yesterday a friend of my son visited. I was telling him what a dreadful experience using UDS was and I could have saved $96 by resetting to factory by myself. One thing I didn't know is this young man is in the IT business!! He was upset the way UDS handled the situation and said THEY made the mess and not me as the "UDS boy wonder" had implied!! This friend worked on my laptop for about an hour, got some of my favorite apps back where I could use them, etc., etc. He taught me how to save any future files/pictures, etc. so they would never be lost again. This company was a nightmare to do business with. Their communication skills were horrible. They never called with updates. They made promises they probably knew they couldn't keep. They charged WAY too much money for what they did. They should have paid ME for their dishonesty!! I would NOT send my worst enemy to UDS Computer!! If you decide to use their services.....know you have been WARNED!!!

The screen would press buttons on its own, locking him out of his phone, making calls, and sending money from Cash App. So, he returned to get it replaced. The second screen was free, but now his phone flickers whenever he's not using it. He has an iPhone 15 Pro Max, and the display screens don't always turn off. So, it's constantly flickering throughout the day and night. And it goes basically white all over the screen.. I'm not sure what's wrong with these screens, but seeing the two screens my boyfriend had gotten from this shop, I strongly advise against using their services. All of our frustrations can circle back to those issues. As a business owner that is a nail in your coffin. He shouldn't be running his business. So for some specifics - Our project manager is a female and he would never reply to her until my husband followed up with him. He then started responding to her and I who were leading this renovation but always had an excuse and it was never his fault. His contract stated that install would be October 11th, fat chance, we were not even close. I forced his hand to get some things in the week of Christmas bc we had to move in, but still we don't have our master vanities done among other things. I made it clear we were having a Christmas party the Wednesday before and we had to cancel it and uninvite everyone because he didn't deliver. In the contract, he indicates he is 20-25 weeks out, and "lucky us", we get to slip in early bc another job cancelled. We are now almost at 27 weeks from when I signed that contract and he still has excuses why things aren't finished. So enough with over promising and under delivering. Upon install, it was never him, he was off working other jobs and he put two staff members on, he never quality control checked their work. As soon as I gave him the bulk of his money he peaced out. He NEVER comes to our house even after I have repeatedly for a month requested an in person meeting. How do you promise your work and then never show up even after I am pointing out clear errors? Paint colors have been off, stains incorrect. No bumpers on our cabinet drawers have ever been put on. For a very nice house, and the kitchen being a focal area, I am gutted we choose him, because his work dims down everything else. I showed him what I wanted for a hood and for a vanity very clearly with a picture from pintrest. He clearly stated he can 100% do it. Not a chance. We are going to have to get a brass guy separate from him to fix his work because after two tries on making our hood the way we want, he is still soo incredibly far off. Who knows what the vanity will look like because we still don't have it installed. He keeps blaming the metal people, but never speaks to the fact that he didn't get the cabinets to said metal people until after Christmas which was after when it was meant to be installed. I am still waiting for him to show up to my house in person. After refusing for weeks, he gave us a date this week and now saying he can't make that work. Both my husband and I work and have kids and are attempting to be flexible for him to no avail. If I could give him any grace it would be the fact that our world has serious supply chain issues and he wasn't our only sub to miss the mark. The difference is transparency, communication, willingness to own up to ones mistakes, delays and errors. Supply chain was never his issue, it was overpromising and not communicating. I would NEVER recommend anyone using Cabinets Trim and More. My father was a developer, I have an understanding of how this business works and between my husband an I, we have built and renovated 5 houses and he is the worst subcontractor we have ever used!
