I started seeing Lorraine last year because I wanted to learn how to eat a properly portioned/nutritious meal. I am an extremely picky eater and don't really care for meat so for me, most meals usually meant 85% carbs. Through my time with Lorraine over the past few months, I have learned a great deal about what makes up a well-balanced meal and in return, I have lost close to 15 pounds....and I'm just getting started! Lorraine is INCREDIBLY smart, non-judgemental, empathetic, realistic, relatable and I truly feel like she has become a friend over the past few months. She is so easy to talk to and encouraging. She understands people live life and sometimes that means eating pizza or drinking...her approach is a realistic one in that she is helping me learn what makes my body feel good, and is that pizza really worth it? If it is, have one slice instead of two. Lorraine minored in psychology so she really understands how what's going on in our head can impact our eating decisions (here's where the non-judgemental piece comes in). The knowledge she has shared with me has had a profound impact on my life and I truly believe seeing Lorraine has changed the trajectory of my life for the better. I am so grateful for everything Lorraine has done for me and continues to do for me on a weekly basis. I highly recommend her if you're struggling with any health conditions, are looking to lose weight or just want to learn more about food and how you should be eating to make your body feel its best. Thank you, Lorraine!!!!!

I have been with Lorraine for almost a month now and can safely say that she has completely changed my life and point of view on food. She provides such a comfortable and safe environment to talk about not just food, but my cognitive and mental outlook on my life. Upon my consultation, she made sure to note all aspects of my health and past eating habits, and created a delicious customized meal plan based on my preferences, as I am primarily plant based. These plans also integrate meal prep into them, which has reduced my snacking tendencies, as I can just grab my prepped meals from the fridge. I have fallen in love with cooking at home again and get excited about each meal as they are all so diverse and completely satiate me. It's crazy how quickly my taste preferences have changed and crave her recipes. The 3-month plan I opted for includes weekly check-ins, where Lorraine doesn't mention calories or weight every time, but more of how I am feeling mentally based on the foods I am eating. She is also sure to educate me on certain foods to avoid or gravitate towards which can positively affect my lifestyle. I look forward to seeing her each week because she celebrates every small victory with me. I could not recommend anyone else- thank you Lorraine!!!

I left the consultation with a much better sense of what I am putting into my body and much more confident in my food choices. She did not tell me to stop drinking. She did not tell me to eat a salad every day for lunch (in fact, she told me NOT to do that). She did not tell me to starve myself. Her goal seemed to be to provide me with information to make practical choices that would improve my health. I would say 95% of what she has told me has been integrated into my life with minimal changes to my day to day. Beyond that I was surprised by her vast knowledge that ranged from workout plans to massages and chiropractors to probiotics. I had tried a wide range of workouts (and enjoyed them), and had a personal trainer for a short stint. While all of that was helpful, what really mattered in the end was better nutrition. Given my hectic work schedule, it was easy to slip into old habits. I loved working with Jennifer because she combines a passion for better food with the perfect temperament to be a really effective coach. Jennifer provided small, achievable steps (easy healthy meal prep ideas, better options when I had work dinners, impromptu words of encouragement, feedback on recipes). She was approachable and knowledgeable at the same time - someone I felt like I could ping with questions about ingredients and different food options without guilt (I'm posting some photos of her recipes I've grown to love).
