Waiting room is big enough for about 2 appointments at a time so you are not waiting with a ton of people. The staff is very polite and service here is quick. Dr. Lee is who has been with me in my dental journey the entire time is a hands down a phenomenal Doctor. The professionalism, the knowledge and the dedication he and his team has is top notch. Last week, I visited LK Advanced Dentistry twice for a cleaning, x-rays, cavity, and filling replacement. Truly LOVED my experience here from start to finish. The reception team was quick to communicate, welcoming, efficient, and friendly. Plus, their office was sparkling clean, featured high-tech equipment - including 360 degree x-rays - and felt intimate and cozy. A stark contrast for sure when compared to many other dentists in the city. Prices were competitive even without insurance and the value that I received was incredible given their tremendous service. What really set the visit apart for me was the excellent care that I received from Drs. Lee & Kim and their excellent assistants Wendy and Rosemary. Each of them made sure that I was comfortable throughout the procedures and took time to explain exactly what they doing and the purpose behind every step. Rosemary gave me the most thorough cleaning that I can remember having received and the Dentists explained their suggestions in a straightforward and non-pushy way, before also performing the more intense work without pain or complications. And you know that feeling of craving more water or suction during a procedure? Thankfully, not here! Wendy made sure that everything ran smoothly and felt great during my filling and cavity work! The team's attention to detail was impeccable, even down to the calming images shown on TV screens, zero wait time, and even the bit of foam inserted under the bridge of protective glasses to keep them in place! You can tell that the team enjoys working together and performs each of their roles with the patient's experience in mind. I've been to Dr. Lee's office twice, for regular check-up and cleaning. The cleaning is done by the hygienist, Rosemary, who is *very* good at her job. She is meticulous and thorough and explains things well. Dr. Lee also seems caring and competent. He doesn't over-diagnose problems, but explains potential problems and areas that we should keep an eye on well. Overall, I'm very happy with my experience at this office, and will be back. read more

So happy to have found LK Dentistry! I'm not the biggest fan of going to the dentist.. it's probably my least favorite health care necessity and I've always struggled with finding a good dentist who is gentle yet thorough. I really dislike the sound of dental cleaning tools! First off, the office is amazingly CLEAN and smells so good! The scent makes it seem a little less medical/doctor/sterile and a little more inviting! They also have Kinfolk magazines, which are always a plus in my book. Their selection in music is also great. Dr. Kim does the cleaning herself, which I very much appreciate! At my initial visit, they did full x-rays of my teeth and mouth, and the cleaning only took about 20-30 mins. At my second 6 month follow up, she only did cleaning since I didn't have problems at the last visit. I haven't had issues with punctuality in my two visits and I left very happy! 5 stars for this office! read more

I've rotated dentists quite a bit over the years, and Dr. Kim and Dr. Lee are by far my favorites. They're kind, professional (and Asian!) The rest of the staff there are great as well, and the space is very well kept. My experience with LK was very bad. I made an appointment for general cleaning. They told me I need to refill the cavity on my front teeth. On the day of refilling, they refilled not just the front teeth cavity, but also the cavity of my right side molars without letting me know in advance. Then they simply told me that they refilled 5 cavities in total. After the treatment, my right side molar become very sensitive and can't bite for almost half of the year. They also scratched my lip during the treatment, and I didn't even notice due to anesthesia until later when I went back to my office and my coworker told me so. The scratch hurts and bothered me for the rest of the week. I went to see another dentist about the sensitive molar, and was told that usually this type of cavity doesn't require the frequent refill, especially when nothing bothers me. Even if I need to refill it, the job need to be done gently, and the refilling material can't stub in too deep. They took x-rays of the refilled teethes, and also found a falling piece between two teeth that may cause infection later. Ok, in conclusion, the refill job 1) was badly done and 2) included overtreatment that without communication upfront. In addition, the admin works are terrible too. I asked them itemized breakdown to do FSA reimbursement. I called them so many times before they finally send me the file. Every time, they said they'll send it to me the same day or next day...blahblah, but I never see the file and have to follow up again and again. Also, the doctor office that checked my sensitive molar asked them to send over the X-rays of my general check, they send me a copy of my X-ray and a release form to sign and I did, and there's no more action. The other doctor office never received my Xray. When I call to follow up, they told me they send the Xray to me already. Excuse me, the Xray was requested to send to the other doctor office, not me. And what's the point to sign the release form if I need to send the Xray myself???? Again, very very bad experience. read more

As Covid safe as you can get. All personnel heavily masked including face shields. Air purifiers with UV lights. Suction cups for spitting out, preventing germ spread. Of course temperature checks. Equally important, they are honest. My prior 2 dentists were like car mechanics who rip off their customers with unnecessary expensive work. Dr. Lee found areas to closely monitor but no work needed immediately. He was also honest about the limitations that certain orthodontic fixes would have on my crooked teeth. The dental hygienist was patient with me. I do not handle cleanings well due to irrational fears, and she was very sensitive and gentle. I highly recommend this practice. read more

My partner and I have been seeing Dr Lee for over 3 years now, In September I emailed them to schedule an appt. They told me that times they had available and I said that works great for me I'll see you soon. When I showed up to my appt. a new front desk agent told me that she didn't have my appt. in her computer and that since I didn't receive an email confirmation back that mean that my appt wasn't confirmed. She said they were having some issues with the email and wouldn't even let me talk to the doctor. I booked a consultation and prepared for my visit. It was better than expected. Office was neat, staff was incredibly accommodating, and Dr. Kim and the technician were thorough and friendly. After I had x-rays done, Dr. Kim walked through the findings with me and did a cleaning, which was quick and painless. I'm sure we've all had at least one painful or terrifying dental visit in our lives. My past dentist had me thinking that dentistry is both barbaric and savage. Moving on to LK: I can only speak for Dr. Lee- never met Dr. Kim- but I've been to LK Advanced Dentistry twice and now I know that the dentist can be fun, informative, personable, and most importantly PAIN-FREE! My first visit was before I was on my employer's dental plan. Since my old dentist had a tendency to be rough during cleanings, and didn't seem to care that I was a feeling person on the other end of those sharp instruments, I was on the hunt for a new one. I purchased a $49 Groupon for a cleaning and X-ray and was blessed with Dr. Lee. At the end of my visit I was clean and happy, incurred no additional or hidden fees, and for the first time in my life I saw no blood during my cleaning. I'd say we're doing well thus far. It was the least painful, most carefree time I've ever had in a dentist's chair. On top of that, the dental assistant/hygienist was extremely nice and so is the receptionist. Dr. Lee will inform you of every single thing he is doing while he's working. He will also remind you to raise your left, should you feel any discomfort and he will stop and adjust. I've never, ever had this kind of experience with a butcher...I mean dentist. Did I mention he's also pretty cute? :) But seriously, he will tell you what's going on with your teeth and how to treat them better. He's now my regular dentist and I wouldn't have it any other way. Say goodbye to anything bad about your horrific past with tooth doctors, and make an appointment with Dr. Lee. He's thorough, has a laid back personality and will answer any and all questions you have. 5 stars for the nice lounge area, spacious bathroom, attentive staff and all-star dentist. See you soon! Best dentist and staff! I had initially wanted Invisalign and called LK for a (free) assessment. Dr. Lee was very thorough and patient in explaining to me what's needed to be done prior to Invisalign as I had other issues with my teeth that my previous dentist didn't fix. I did two deep cleaning and fixed a crown, and will come back for Invisalign later this year. Rosemary, the dental hygienist, was super sweet, careful and gentle during the cleanings. Very central location off of Columbus Circle with clean office and modern, new equipment. The attending dentist, Dr. Lee, was very personable, professional and performed a thorough exam and pain-free cleaning. He walked me through the proper flossing technique (many of us laypersons do get it wrong) and offered advice on how I could improve my smile through a cosmetic procedure. I feel as though there was some obligation to up-sell me since my visit was covered by a Groupon but I didn't feel overwhelming pressure to make a decision right there and then as is often the case when great professional services are offered at a deep discount. The only issue preventing me from giving a 4 or 5 star rating was the receptionist/ dental assistant who was not very receptive, somewhat curt and appeared as though she didn't quite want to be there. Could be she had an off day but the interaction was a little off-putting as this is the first/ last person you encounter on an office visit. Still overall an A-OK experience. read more

Since moving to NYC about 2 yrs ago this was the first time I needed a dentist (is that bad??). I came across the office website through my research and decided to take the risk of trying a new dentist since the receptionist who answered my call was super friendly (I have had my fair share of rude medical office staffers, what is with these people.) First off, whoever was the interior designer of this place. Bravo. And might I add the exam chairs... some of the softest leather I have sat upon. I met w Dr. Lee. I went in for a cleaning and had an old filling replaced. No complaints. He was fast and efficient. During the visit I mentioned that one tooth had been giving me some pain and after determining it wasn't a cavity he explained it was possibly due to the fact I grind my teeth and suggested I get fitted for a mouth guard to wear while I sleep. I didn't have time for it then but they were able to schedule me for that Sat. When I came in for my mouth guard fitting I met the other half of LK. Dr. Kim. She was super sweet. Didn't take much time. I was pretty much in and out and had my mouth guard that same day. And I can happily report my tooth doesn't give me trouble anymore. read more

Indeed the electronic not air-driven drills rotate perfectly smoothly making for a far far gentler nicer experience. I originally came across LK Advanced Dentistry on Living Social, as I was looking for a deal for X-rays/cleaning/exam since my dental insurance for my new job doesn't kick in until March. The online booking appointment process is great, and getting a Saturday appointment was really easy. The office itself is very pretty and clean, and the receptionists are helpful and welcoming. The exam rooms have big TV screens so you can easily see your x-rays and better understand what the dentist is talking about. The rooms also play relaxing (but good) music. I saw Dr. Lee for my exam, cleaning, and subsequent filling. I honestly cannot speak more highly of him. He's very personable, definitely knows what he's doing, and does it well. He makes going to the dentist SO much easier. I was told by others that fillings don't typically fit on that well, or that the filling would change my bite. The filling Dr. Lee put in is perfect. The shape feels exactly like the part of the tooth that was there. I really hope LK ends up being in my network once my dental insurance kicks in. read more

Dr. Lee is super intelligent, caring, and personable. My husband and I both go here during his Saturday office hours. I was very impressed at the level of service, and not to mention, the office is very clean, modern, and essentially ZERO wait time. He even looked over our dental insurance himself to make sure that we wouldn't be stuck with any unexpected bills, so that made me feel that he was an honest businessman, as well! My husband needed some dental work done and Dr. Lee showed him everything on a video and also gave him a print out of detailed information on what he needed to get done, and in order of priority! I went there for a periodical teeth cleaning with Dr. Kim. It was a good experience - the practice doesn't seem to have lots of patients so easy to make a same day appointment. She performed the cleaning herself and was pretty thorough. Spent over an hour with me. The only reason I'm taking a star away is that it was the first time in my life I got cleaning and the dentist didn't give me a dental kit upon leaving. She didn't give me anything and it felt a little cheap. Maybe things like that could make her practice more successful. read more
