I turned again to YELP to locate a company to remediate the results and find the cause or source of the problem. Alan's Restoration had the highest number of 5-star reviews so I took a chance and contacted them - now wary of the highly rated YELP reviews. Turns out this outfit is worth their 5-stars - and then some. EXCELLENT customer service including accurate and frequent communication, fast response, quick turnaround, friendly people and most important - when a substantial problem (that they did not create) developed during the project - they came back after completion and corrected it the next day. And I'm sure it was probably at their expense. Not many companies like this around anymore. I know that for sure from nearly 70 years of experience with 50 in project management. It's a real crap shoot these days when contracting with anyone on YELP or pretty much anywhere else, as I unfortunately found out with that cable company that caused this entire problem. So, I could not rate this company any higher and I recommend them more than any other I've dealt with in many decades. They yanked my bacon outa' the frying pan on this one.

Orion provided a reasonable price range for the roofing job and explained what the job would include. They dropped off a packet of information along with product samples for us to choose from. My Home Owners Association had rules I needed to follow for my roof and Orion explained clearly what would and wouldn't work with the HOA standards. They helped me chose the right materials I needed and even helped with the HOA request. They were also flexible with material costs telling me what substitutes I could switch out to save money. They told me exactly what I was paying for and some of the standard materials they offered were actually sold as premium items from the other roofing companies. They don't believe in cutting corners and that really showed in their work and the materials they provided. They even trimmed some of my tree branches for free since the branches were touching my roof and that would ruin my shingles in the future. Orion runs specials every now and then. For the month of April we got a year of free pest control paid for! They also have a lifetime warranty on their work which is the best warranty of all the roofing companies in Houston. They filed a separate warranty with the shingle company for free to so the shingles themselves are covered for 40 years. Overall, Orion was very professional, flexible, and transparent.
