we hired a company from out of state and that company subcontracted Livingston and his crew to do the actual work. This move was a disaster from the beginning and I won't go into all the issues with the hired company. Josh and his crew were very friendly and we honestly thought had our best interest at heart. My husband was afraid that the hired company would try and cheat Josh's crew of money so he gave them an extra $150. The damage alone done to my furnitur, old house and new home was significant. They put a big gash in the wall of my old home and we were told that Josh was going to go back and repair it himself. My husband waited two hours when he had other things to get done. Josh never contacted him. Then there was damage that was never mentioned such as a gash in the metal door to the garage, the leg of my dining room chair was completely broken in half and taped back on. When it was placed in the house they put it in the backside of the table so it wasn't noticeable right away. They broke the pedestal leg off my dresser and just sat it underneath. There is a gash out of the door to my brand new home. None of this was told to us and we paid extra and was taken advantage of. NO CALL NO SHOW! We scheduled a move with Josh more than a month ahead. A week before he got covid and offer me to send his crew with a higher rate. We talked and agreed that the price was not gonna change and he is going to hold his promise. A day before I started calling and texting him to make sure everything is fine but he stop communicating. I previously wrote a 5star review on this company but unfortunately i am now retracting due to excessive stolen items! I am a 67 year old female needed a reliable company for out of state move. Initially the truck would not hold everything, told Joshua they could have remaining, then walking thru unit told him no, I would give a list of what I wanted. After going thru new unit the list was extensive but going back to clear out Lexington, TN unit, none of those items were there and yes Joshua had a key to the unit. Then when going back for my deposit from u-haul, I was shorted $26.47 for gas, had given them more than enough. The money was not the issue not being told before, was. I requested packing and moving services from Livingston on 3/30/22. The lead packer who smelled of alcohol and marijuana ate my breakfast off my counter in my home, drank my vodka, broke items, and stole from me. He left empty vodka bottles and removed perfume from boxes and packed the empty boxes with my other items. I am still finding missing items while unpacking and going through my belongings. The owner, Josh said I had too many items unpacked as a reason for the theft and did not hold his employee accountable. He said it was a criminal matter and not a business matter after he heard the employee admit to eating my food after lying multiple times. Also, the owner, Josh, stated that the employee was a hard worker even though I showed him his employee going to his car for 15 to 20 mins every hour. Josh also stated that he has pics of my home, I'm not understanding his threat since I hired his team to pack and move. Very disrespectful and unprofessional company that wants full payment regardless of employee behavior. Unfortunately, after the theft, Josh informs me that the worker was not his lead packer but a laborer. Funny how the titles change when unprofessionalism and thievery occurs. Also, I never asked him to go outside his company to hire anyone to help me. He told me his crew was available on Thursday, 3/31/2022 without him.
