Seems like I'm not alone in encountering the arrogance and lack of empathy with the owner here, Dr. Kuhn. I recommend folks bring their pets here for care, but avoid having Dr.Kuhn being your vet. The staff is great and very caring. Dr Wilson specifically took great care of my dog when I urgently brought him in after getting attacked by a bear near the parkway. My follow up visits when Dr Wilson was off left me with Dr. Kuhn. He was short, abrupt, and seemed annoyed when I had questions to ask him. Annoyed that I would bring my dog in to him when I'm just following doctors orders. Once he was done speaking at me, he abruptly turned around and left the room, forcefully closing the door behind him. I was left in the room stunned and confused as to what just happened - did he really just speak to me and act that way?! The next follow up visit he didn't even bother to come out and speak with me at all. As a regular vet clinic, this place seems great. They are also AAHA certified! But maybe stay away for emergencies and definitely the owner.

The practice is trustworthy and honest and they all go out of their way to ensure that they are as compassionate and patient with the terrified parents as with the animals themselves.

They stated they had a full schedule and suggested we drive out to an emergency vet. As we headed out we passed Cedar Ridge Animal Hospital and thought to pull in and see if they would help. Dr. Moncure and her assistant didn't hesitate and immediately took her in for examination. Unfortunately we lost our girl but I cannot commend Cedar Ridge enough for their compassion and kindness in a much needed moment. We will not hesitate to transfer care for our additional pets to Cedar Ridge.

Unfortunately Lucy is a curious pup so we've had a few visits. Every time the Dr's and staff are AMAZING! They great us both with a smile, Lucy always gets lots of treats and the best treatment. They are very comforting when the visit is less than routine and never have a problem with the 18963 questions I always have. They've helped me gain confidence in clipping Lucys nails and all of her other hygiene procedures and they always make sure Lucys comfortable. The compassion is very apparent at this place and I really appreciate knowing that the staff loves what they do and who they work with. They moved into their new building recently and it really is a top quality establishment. It's nice that the Doctors invested in a space that makes their staff happy to go above and beyond. They were not allowing more than one person in with their animals and at one point we had to wait in the car. I know some might find that annoying but I appreciate that they are taking every step to make sure everyone is safe. SVAH will make you feel like family and we're happy we found them!
