Buckeye is the best! They do a great job with our dog who sometimes has issues with reactivity and anxiety. They work hard to make every dog comfortable during their stay, including managing which dogs spend time together and which need their own space. They are very receptive to any requests or special needs. They consult with dog trainers and their staff understand dog communication / behavior very well. There is a lot of great outdoor space at the facility for dogs to play and have personal space. Our dog has thrived at Buckeye more than any other dog boarding facility we have tried. We always feel comfortable when our dog is at Buckeye when we have to travel or need to drop him off for a day. read more

We have a fearful rescue dog who was calm and happy when we picked him up after a stay at Buckeye. It was wonderful. And our 1 year old puppy was obviously VERY happy when we returned for another stay. His tail couldn't wag any faster. I needed to board my dog and called on three separate occasions. I left messages and never heard back. If they don't care to return phone calls, do they really care about the animals? I had to take my dog elsewhere. Maybe, one day, they'll get the right people working there. read more

I kinda hate to rate them so low...I have been taking my dog here for grooming for several years now and had been happy. But now that they have grown and expanded... the quality of their grooming has fallen way off...law of diminishing returns. I just boarded my nervous new-to-me 4 year old dog here for the first time and couldn't be happier. The staff entertained numerous questions from me and encouraged me to tour with my dog a couple of times before she spent a night. They didn't charge me for those brief tours, they took their time showing her around and giving us pointers on making her more comfortable, and they didn't require that I schedule the tours (suggesting the kennel is consistently clean) - they only asked that I come during their office hours. During the tours they encouraged me to consider goodness of fit for my dog rather than sell their facility to me. They weren't pushy or gimmicky; they simply showed us around, explained why they do things the way they do them, and demonstrated that they know significantly more about dogs than I do. They were very professional and clear about their policies in general, and they were a great combination of matter of fact and compassionate toward my dog. They didn't sugarcoat anything about her experience before or after we boarded her - we all knew she would be nervous, we discussed ways to make her as comfortable as possible, and it was as successful as her first time being boarded could have been. The facility is clean, and their daily routine ensures the dogs' physical needs are met. The owner was great with my dog - she was sensitive to her nervousness but didn't make a big deal out of it...She did a nice job of acknowledging the dog's needs without freaking the dog or me out. read more

My boxer has stayed there twice now, and he comes home rested and healthy! He loves the staff and they were very attentive when he need several eye drops daily. I highly recommend them for anyone, especially dog owners whose pups need their own space away from other dogs. read more

Bad experience. poor communication, they never answer the phone. I boarded my dog for three days, ending on a Saturday, when they are not open for the public. We agreed that I will check my dog out on a Saturday, as they are there all the time. Upon checkout, the rude and aggressive owner extorted an additional $20 for after hours checkout in spite of our agreement. read more
