Filled to overflowing with shabby chic and allegedly French provincial furniture the homewares in this shop are not exactly to my taste, but I do appreciate that they might be so for others. The displays are certainly put together well, if a bit blindingly. And it's always good to find something other than chain stores selling the same old rubbish. Maybe if I wander around here a bit longer the inspiration to throw white paint on the walls and take up a sudden passion for pastel florals will eventuate. Maybe.

The shop sells gifts, furniture, women's clothing and homewares, all very reminiscent of the 'old times'. Tablecloths with pretty floral patterns, A-line dresses, white ceramic trinkets, doilies, for the love of god. It's actually really cute. The colour schemes are great, I love the patterns they have, and they have some truly unique furniture pieces, the kind that you wouldn't expect to be factory-made. Intricate little vanities, white, ornate chests of drawers... that kind of thing. While any of this would look terribly out of my place in my living area, there are plenty who enjoy home décor of this sort, so if you're one of them, give it a look.

While a little heavy on the scented candles for my taste, there's a whole room of babies clothes, toys and gifts for kids, and a smaller one out the back which has a range of women's cotton nightwear of the white and floaty variety. There's also some women's clothing, also mostly of cotton, including some brands like Boom Shankar that I have seen priced much more expensively elsewhere. There's the odd real bargain hiding in here, as well as a few local and handmade items, including a small range of locally produced fudge locked away in a coolbox.

I thought for 4 people spending $140.00 we could reasonably expect better service and attention. The food was lacking, when it became clear there was arancini (from lunch menu for $9.90) cut into 4 and served warm. Then the frittata (again from the lunch menu) cut into 4 and served warm. After having to book for high tea I would have expected something a little different to the usual fare being served. We would not go again.

I also like the fact that they stock a lot of local designers but also collect from overseas so the range in variety of product and taste is wide. The textiles from Africa, Australian artifacts, Egyptian crystal chandeliers and European ceramic pieces - it takes you to far away places without paying for the plane ticket out of here. Apart from filling your home with beautiful furnishings I find Exhibit is a good place to shop for wedding presents.

Me and my best friend were at the Muji store in Sydney. We were very excited to go and had heard…read moregreat things about it. When we got the there was certain products on display that Muji themselves were speaking of very highly, for example, there was a wrinkless glue that was spoken of and was supposed to do everything a regular glue stick would do without the wrinkles. We were both very intrigued about it as we had both had unfortunate experiences with wrinkles. So we decided to buy the gluestick. We walked out of the store very satisfied and eager to try it out. As soon as we got back to the hotel my friend and I tried it out by glueing two flat pieces of paper together. Once it had dried we checked to see if it had wrinkled and to our dismay there was two very large wrinkles on the paper. Awestruck, we decided to take action and bring justice to this gluestick and wrote this review so other people don't have to suffer the disappoint we did. Atrocious it was, atrocious. Your welcome.
