I needed my fingerprints scanned for the FBI in order to complete consular services quickly. I tried USPS first, but their system was antiquated and just wouldn't complete a good scan of my prints. After searching for a local company with good reviews I'm happy to report that Live Scan and More came through with flying colors. They were local (Beverly Hills), plenty of parking (street, but be aware of permit requirement as well as parking under the building), they were quick, the process was very straightforward, they were friendly, and most importantly they are very careful in doing. my prints in order to get the best and most acceptable transmission possible for LiveScan. Their fingerprinting worked perfectly the first time. They also do apostille, notary, etc. so I'll be using them from now on for everything. Be advised, this place is hard to find. You have to park on Wilshire which is not easy in this particular area. There are street signs everywhere stating no parking hours and you are not allowed to park in the nearby neighborhood without a permit/window tag/sticker. They are quick to ticket and/or tow cars so be careful where you park! This business is located down a long walkway in the back of a bunch of other street facing businesses. They have a tiny sign hanging from an awning and it's not easy to see or find. I literally drove around the block 5 times, got frustrated and parked to explore on foot. Once I found it, I walked inside to an empty office except for one man going through a file cabinet. I asked for a live scan, he handed me documents to fill out and asked for my CADL and $55. He was a bit brash which I blew it off, whatever, I wasn't there to make a friend. While he was entering my info into the computer, another guy walked in and also asked about a live scan. The guy helping me was really harsh/rude to him and said, "Do you have an appointment?" Although the Live Scan guy wasn't nice to me, he also wasn't rude like he was to the guy who walked in after me. It made me uncomfortable witnessing the unwarranted rudeness. Felt kinda sorry for him, he was there for the exact same thing as me and was treated rudely the moment he walked in. A woman then walked in and I realized she worked there as she was asking if we needed any help (she was much nicer thankfully). After brash man entered my info into the database and took my fingerprints, he advised we were done. The lady then told me she'd take my payment and I was outta there. The gentleman who was working arrived ten minutes early, apologized for making me wait (again, he was ten minutes early), and we got right to it. Me and a friend had to come in to get our fingerprints scanned for the grad school program we're in, and fortunately the process was super simple. I believe it is by appointment only, but booking an appointment online is easy and straightforward. Check out their website to book an appointment. And I think they're open 7 days a week, although double check their business hours or reach out, as they could be updated. Overall, we spent probably 15-20mins for both of us to get fingerprinted. I've gone to see Barry at Live Scan and More for matters relating to Chinese consulate legalization of documents as well as getting FBI clearance document legalized as well, and I can say that this place is absolutely the best in terms of customer service, thoroughness, speediness of service, and experience and expertise. I had at first gone to a different online service back in December of 2022 to try to get the exact same documents legalized, and up until now, that place still hasn't gotten me back the documents after more than 3 months. But when I went to Barry back in January/February with the same documents, he was able to get them notarized and legalized by the Chinese consulate here in L.A. in almost exactly a month (4 weeks approximately), which was so much faster and more convenient going through him!! I wish I would have found him earlier. His prices are also very reasonable compared to other places I have checked out. I highly recommend this place. I had to get fingerprinted recently for an upcoming job working with kids. Since this place was nearby, I called to inquire about their rates. The man I spoke to took down the relevant information I had on my paperwork, and informed me it would be $72. Since I had been calling around, and was quoted higher prices, I decided it was a good deal and came in. Both the employees were friendly, and it was not a bad experience. They seemed to know what they were doing. However, once the process was complete, I was told that it would be $97. What?? Not cool. The guy was reasonable enough when he explained why the price was different, and apologized for his employee's error. He was only able to take $5 off as a courtesy, which I (grudgingly) accepted. But it's my firm belief that quoting one price and charging another is a bad business practice. read more

I needed to get an FBI fingerprinting done and this was an authorized channeler. The place was hard to find at first, due to its location. You won't be able to find it based on a storefront sign only, because it's in a miniplaza, all the way in the back. There's plenty of metered street parking right in front or further down the street. I came in about 20 minutes prior to closing, and didn't expect so many people waiting for service on a saturday afternoon. But after he finished with everyone, it was by this time 20 minutes after closing. I tend to like businesses that are willing to help customers even after they are closed. He could have just told me that he was closed, and to come back Monday. It was my own fault for coming late, I blame my procrastination gene. You know what they say: the early bird gets the worm, but the second mouse always gets the cheese! Anyways, he does the digital fingerprinting, it seemed like a better way to do it thank the traditional ink based one. I'm hoping everything comes out ok. I'm not familiar with how livescanning works, but I believe if the fingerprints aren't working, they can contact the business for reprints send electronically (I guess this would be great too if I needed to be fingerprinted for something else). This is all based on my own theories though, so take it with a grain of salt. Great service, expertise in his field, and great pricing. Make sure you put extra coins in the parking meter just in case it takes longer than you'd expect. read more
