The young man who did my MRI was so nice. I was very nervous as I have a bit of claustrophobia, he talked me through the procedure and made me feel safe and comfortable. We paid a fraction of the typical cost for an MRI (with interpretation included) AND got a call from the interpreting radiologist the day after the exam (on a weekend, no less) to review the findings. Seriously, the cost for the WHOLE exam was less than a typical post-insurance copay charge. They told me that I was possibly dehydrated and I should have been drinking water. Are you kidding me? Oh, and they charged my credit card for a procedure they could not do! The radiologists are easily accessible when I have questions or concerns. I get imaging reports back very quickly, and I know their radiologists are very experienced, so I trust their interpretations. As a patient I thought it was very easy to schedule--I got in quickly and had a CD-ROM of the MRI in hand when I left. She made me nervous because she acted so strange! After she finished with her procedure she did not wipe off the gel she used for the procedure. This is the 1st time in 10 or more ultrasounds that have had that the tech didn't do this which further added it to my concerns! This is the first negative experienceI have had at Herman Memorial imaging center, and truly, I could've done without it! If it were possible, this experience would rate zero stars! They advised me the West Loop location was the only location that does the procedure. I scheduled it for 9am on a Tuesday. I did all my checkin online paperwork and appointment was confirmed. After an hour drive in traffic to this location when I walk in the office they are calling me. The front desk lady tells me that my appt is cancelled because the technician who does the procedure only does it on certain days and this day he was not there so that's why they were calling to cancel my appt. She says the Manager knew since the day before but they call 30 mins before my appt to tell me!!! I will never use this place or recommend to anyone!
