Livan Savino Opticians - Eyewear & Opticians Near Me - Brooklyn, New York

Corner place on 14th Ave right across the street from the bus stop. Friendly attentive staff & a nice selection. The only drawback is that if you go for an eye exam (only available on Tuesday & Thursday) is that the exam room is at the bottom of a narrow staircase. So if you're older or have mobility restrictions this may be a challenge for you. read more

Oh my goodness, what a lovely experience. Everyone here is so friendly, and they're all incredibly attentive and observant to what you may need. The selection is fantastic, and depending on your insurance plan, you may not have to pay big bucks for a great frame. I have a really strong prescription, so it's not always easy to find stylish frames that can fit my Coke-bottle lenses, but they did an amazing job. Also the interior decor here is so bright and cheery that I'm pretty sure it's an instant mood booster just walking in. read more

Lou and the whole team at this place are great. They truly know how to run a business and are great at customer service. I recently had an issue with my broken glasses and they were great to work with. They build good relationships with customers long term and are not a 'turn and burn' operation. Best eyeglass store in brooklyn. read more

Last November I opened my Harper's Bazaar magazine to the most beautiful advertisement for Dolce and Gabbana sunglasses. I was in love and had to have them, but they weren't out yet. After calling around and getting no where, a friend of mine from Brooklyn told me about Livan Savino. They ordered them especially for me! So helpful and so attentive. I will go there from now on. read more

I had to renew my prescription and I was looking for something more updated in style. As soon as I got in I noticed the nice styles and brands they have as well as costumer service. All of them very busy but took the time to invite me to sit for a few minutes. After a short wait they showed me a lot of styles and I found the one very quickly. Although my insurance it's out of network with them it's worth it!!!!!!! Sal it's great with people he makes sure you are happy with the product. Plus he insisted if I had any problem with the eyewear or even if I need another case to just step in and they will be happy to help.. that was amazing.. definitely taking my family there. read more

This is a very family oriented store. The owners are extremely kind and overextend themselves to all customers. Great selection of frames in varied styles and designs. More than competitively priced and very professional. read more

Highly recommended very pleasant experience. Nice. Selection reasonable prices. Very professional read more

What a great place to get a pair of glasses. Great selection, and the Optometrist was very good too. From beginning to end I felt like I was dealing with a legitimate professional establishment that actually cared about how they treated you. The chains are convenient but really once you go to Livan Savino you realize the flaw with the chains. They have no connection to their customers or what they are selling them. They're simply there making an hourly rate same as working in any other retail store. read more

Absolutely amazing! Everyone was so attentive and friendly and they have a large selection of beautiful lens.

Just left Livan after going there last year for first time. This is a perfect place to purchase eye glasses. My husband & I went both times together and we both agreed! We sent Xmas card w thank you but they didn't receive but we forgot to review. You forget that there are people who still w a business who know that quality, attention and friendliness count for everything. The best frames, no one pushes anything on you and their opinions are honest!! Prices are great & we wouldn't think of going anywhere else. Happy Holidays! read more

Awesome store! I have had problems since I started wearing progressive lenses and was doubtful of shopping at a new place. I was referred here by a few people who said they were very happy with their glasses so I finally decided to give them a shot. After trying on many different styles the professional and experienced staff explained to me why certain frames would be better for me and my Rx and helped me to choose a perfect pair that looks stunning! This is also the first time that my lenses actually worked the way I thought they should... Thanks Guys!! read more

Today was my first time going there. Where do I begin. The store is beautiful, Lou and Sal are amazing! They take all the time you need, not rushed at all. EXTREMELY PROFESSIONAL! They care about every aspect of of picking out the right frames for the right face, and they are extremely precise. The optrimist is excellent, he is so nice! This is by far the best optician in Brooklyn. Great selection of glasses and personalized service. Wouldn't go anywhere else!

This place has been around for years and there is a reason--it's one of the best places to get glasses in Brooklyn. They treat you well, and most importantly they back up their guarantee on the glasses and will make things right. That's something you just can't find anyplace else. They have a great selection, great customer service and reasonable prices. What more could you want? Just go here. You won't be sorry. read more

Everything you want a retail experience to be. No rush, large selection, attention to detail, and old school neighborhood feel.

My boyfriend and I went to Linvan Savino to shop for some glasses before we go away this weekend and I was not only blown away by their selection of both men's and women's styles, but truly by the exceptional service we received. Lou greeted us with a very warm welcome and without being pushy or "salesy" recommended 2 pair of sunglasses, both of which we loved and bought! I loved Lou's attitude and charisma, he has great product knowledge and it's obvious he cares about both his product and his customer. I also really loved the layout of the store, open and bright with a variety to look at, but not cluttered or overwhelming - very organized in other words. I will 100% be going back! Highly recommended! read more

Today was my first time in Savino Opticians. I don't live in the area however, I am 9 months pregnant and my doctor is close by on 13th ave. My sunglasses broke and my girlfriend who lives in Dyker Heights recommend them. They were so nice. They actually fixed my sunglasses for free. When I asked the gentleman how much he wished me luck and said no charge but thanks for asking. Both men that worked there were very warm and friendly. I would definitely recommend this establishment. Thank you Livan Savino read more

Style and aesthetics are significant to me, especially in my career as an architect working with some of NYC's most prestige clients. Personal image is key. It is said, that a client in the modern business world will make up their mind about you within 5 seconds of meeting you. I have been a customer of Livan Sovino for years and still find they have greatest knowledge, resources for style, & exclusivity on their selection, in this Brooklyn boutique for eyewear. On occasion they took great effort to track down frames for me that haven't even hit the US Market. Putting style aside, they have an amazing skillset of knowing how to adjust glasses just by looking at you. (Made the mistake by visiting another place out of desperation because my toddler likes to pull my glasses off my face constantly and suffered for it! Never again).Livano Sovino is hands on, and passionate about all their customers. It's like have your own personal eyewear consultant. See for yourself. read more
