AO was well stocked even in the mid season and we had plenty of great options to choose from and lovely staff to help with our sélection. It was a bonus that all kids jacket and pants were on sale for 30% off. Woot! While we were browsing for the pants, we decided to get the binding adjusted on her skis and the gentleman (Bob) was so helpful with tweaking my daughter's gears to make her first day back on the slopes as easy and enjoyable as possible. It's shops like this that I miss in Toronto, with that extra attention to customers experience and willingness to go that extra mile to make it great. I wanted to plan a last minute kayaking trip with my partner so we found this place in Keswick and…read moredecided to just do a walk-in. Upon arrival, it may seem like it's difficult to find parking, but once you drive past the shop, there is a lot of parking behind. We walked into the shop, and within seconds, staff greeted us. It was great and easy to know everything as there was a giant menu of all the services and water activities they provided. We asked for 2 single kayaks, and they told us there were plenty! 1 single kayak is $25/4 hours, which is an amazing price. This also includes a lifejacket and paddle. You honestly can't find this deal in Toronto. You get charged a mandatory damage deposit of $200 per kayak first, and once you return from your trip, you get your deposit back and pay the $25. The staff were very nice and the lake was great! The kayaks and paddles were super sturdy and well maintained. We went around 2pm and there were a decent amount of people, but not too packed. Later in the afternoon is when we saw it started getting pretty busy. There was a hiccup in payments at first, where the first card machine didn't work, so I used a second one. After my trip, I checked my bank and they charged me twice. They were super nice and accommodating and refunded me back the amount. I will definitely be back and rent with them again!!!

The staff here are so friendly and accommodating, I think I called them at least 4x in a week and they weren't annoyed of me and always returned my calls quickly. I rented two paddle boards for Canada day long weekend and prior to visiting the paddle centre, wasn't 100% confident about strapping those bad boys to a small Toyota corollas roof. Staff showed us how to safely secure the crafts to the car and provided all the equipment necessary (foam blocks, straps). The boards were in great shape (one was brand new!) and came with paddles, life jackets, and leashes. I actually called last minute on the last day of my rental to ask if I could keep the boards one more day and they moved some things around to accommodate me, which totally made my weekend!! I would not hesitate to recommend White Squall to anyone interested in renting and I will be back!!

Ecclestone Cycle has been caring for our old (30+ years) bikes for several years without ever suggesting that we should really get new bikes - which is basically what I was told by other local bike shops when I was initially repairing the old bikes. Ecclestone got us new parts and installed them at very reasonable prices and then continued to make repairs and tweaks at extremely good service prices for the last several years. Recently we decided we would really enjoy new bikes and we didn't consider going anywhere else. The service and great attitude we have received there was enough to sell us that there is no better place to get bikes, parts and service. And this week we became the owners of new Kona bikes - the owners and staff spent literally hours helping us learn about bikes, helping us choose bikes and then teaching us how to work the gears and new things about riding etc. It isn't possible to have a more positive experience than we've had. The owners and staff, including the students who work there, are genuine, warm, friendly, helpful and never pushy. Exceptional!!!!
