Shannon was referred to us by my brother and sister in law who used her a few years back. There is a bit of a backstory before we landed with Shannon. We had originally tried to start our living trust through law insurance that was supplied by work. The first company we worked with seemed fine but then before we could finish the process, withdrew from the insurance coverage. The second firm started off okay but then we started realizing as we were asking for more detailed customization that they just wanted to fill in the standard template blanks and move on. A lot of the work was handled by staff other than the lawyer and only when we had a more specific question did we get to speak with the lawyer who kind of discouraged us from being so detailed. There were also some typos in emails from the lawyer that just made us raise an eyebrow. We went back the first firm and were willing to pay full price but then got the vibe from the lawyer that templates were very standard and we should not make things so detailed either. Apparently trust mills work this way and they just want to churn you out quickly without really sitting down to address all your questions and specifics and needs or walk you through the legal wording. I felt really lost for a bit and a bit gaslit into thinking we were overthinking our living trust until we talked to Shannon who understood how frustrating it was and made us feel like we definitely COULD customize some things more. We decided to go with her even if it meant paying out of pocket because she took the time to understand our needs and wishes and walked us through all the different parts of the documents in our estate planning. Right from the beginning, she didn't pressure us to use her services and was very kind, patient, and helpful once we hired her. Her documents were organized and we had a few meetings and drafts before meeting in person to sign. Shannon was responsive, detailed, and truly made us feel like our wishes mattered and could be honored. If you're looking for something a little beyond just a standard living trust document with someone who doesn't think any question is too stupid and will help you understand what you're reading, Shannon is the person you can count on. Set up a meet and greet with her if you're on the fence and see for yourself! Thanks Shannon! read more

Shannon was great. The proceess to the result is exactly what we needed. We contemplated doing the trust ourself but have few nuances and specific approaches we want to take. Rather than doing it all wrong, Shannon made it all simple and clear. Having a pro guide you through with a reasonal fee is all worth it to protect the people you love. read more

Found Shannon recommended by several people in local fb groups and saw all her great reviews on Yelp. I'm glad we picked her to work with because the whole process is intimidating to begin with but working with her made it feel less intimidating. She is so sweet and personable, it felt as if we've always known her, and made us feel very comfortable working with her. She was always happy to respond anytime I had questions along the way or happy to explain things I didn't understand very well. Very thankful we got to work with her and would highly recommend her! read more

We cannot recommend Shannon enough for helping you to create your trust and will. This had been on our to-do list for almost 2 years but we were overwhelmed by how to choose an attorney to help us. A friend who has been through the process told me that when I found the right person, they would be competent but compassionate, and you should feel like you can confidently trust them since you'll be sharing and discussing all your personal details. After our first consultation with Shannon I knew she would meet all these requirements and more. She is very knowledgeable and translates everything from legal-ese to make it clear digestible to understand all our options and how the process works. Our final product not only reflects our wishes, but is so well organized and designed so I know that if it should ever be needed, it will be as easy as possible for our loved ones to navigate. read more

We highly recommend Shannon of Liu Shair Law for estate planning. She made the entire process of setting up a trust seamless. She is a great listener and answered all of our questions with patience and clarity. Over a few short Zoom meetings and one brief in-person document signing, she got to know us and our goals, helped us work through some potentially complicated scenarios, and created an estate plan that reflected our values and wishes. Early on as we started discussing setting up a trust, we considered whether to try doing it through an online service. I can't even imagine how stressful that would have been--and we would have been left with a document that may or may not have been legally compliant or accurate! We are SO glad we chose to work with Shannon and now recommend her to everyone we know. read more

Working on our estate planning with Shannon of Liu Shair Law was a stellar experience. Outstanding attorney, super efficient and thorough services and a genuinely nice person. We've already recommended her to several of our friends. 1. Great balance of automated services vs. face-to-face interactions. Intake, scheduling, document sharing, communication of next steps was all done using automated scheduling/messaging and other software tech. In contrast, the actual design discussions and drafting meetings were all done face-to-face. Thus she was able to strike a great balance between efficiency and personalized attention. 2. Valuable Resource. She got me started on the right track in searching for corporate trustees and private professional fiduciaries. She shared a list of professionals she has worked with before as well as filled in the gaps in my knowledge about their roles. The blog articles on her website are also a great resource; they are far from the content-sparse articles with a spattering of incoherent search keywords that one often finds on many SEO blog posts and listicles. 3. High functioning. Our meetings were focused and productive. She is able to get to the crux of people's wishes and translate these desires into bullet proof clauses. Revisions to the drafts were made quickly and thoroughly and we converged to final versions painlessly. 4. Authentic. She has high EQ, and seemed to really care about her work and us! She remembered nuanced details from one meeting to the next even if we met several weeks apart. She often fluently referred to the people taking on the role of our successor / PoA by name which showed that she took time to study our case files before our meetings, etc. read more

Over the years, our estate planning has been one of those necessary tasks that kept being placed on the back burner as other priorities and activities kept pushing to the forefront. Perhaps there truly are greater forces that help shape our lives, because had we not procrastinated, who knows if we would have had the very good fortune to meet and work with Shannon. All the other 5-star reviews preceding ours really tell the story. They all vouch for her competence, authenticity, empathy, and efficiency, and--as someone who highly values these two traits--her communication skills and attention to detail are top-notch. If the terms "lawyer" and "estate planning" conjure images of a stodgy, dour person who drones incessantly about possibly uncomfortable topics in a condescending, offhand tone, well...that's certainly not Shannon. In fact, think of the exact opposite! Regardless of where you are in life, there may well come a time when you require professional assistance in estate planning. When that realization hits you, don't hesitate: Contact Shannon and Liu Shair Law. read more

Our original living trust was created more than 20 years ago, and we needed to amend/restate our living trust to modify certain items. Shannon was the 3rd attorney we worked with, and she is the best. She is very knowledgeable, experienced, thorough, efficient, and a great person to work with. At the beginning, she explained how the process/steps we would go through. She reviewed our original trust, listened to our needs, and made recommendations. She explained all our questions very clearly and in detail. We were able to do everything online except the day of signing documents. During the process, we used her secured portal to download documents, so our privacy was safe. Using online scheduling was easy. At the end, she gave us a clear instruction that which type of account we should put the trust as primary or secondary. We highly recommend Shannon if anyone is thinking to do an estate planning. read more

Shannon was recommended to me by several other attorneys, and I could not be happier with her services. I am an attorney as well, but know next to nothing about trust and estate law. We have had the intentions of getting a living trust together for quite some time but procrastinated for a variety of reasons. Some of them being intimidated by the unbeknownst of the process and by the idea of talking to a lawyer itself. Finally at a get together breakfast with some friends we were discussing components of the retirement process. The subject of setting up a trust came up. Questions regarding the needs and benefits of having a trust came about which raised even more questions and speculations. It was really time to talk to a lawyer. Looking thru reviews of Lawyers we were impressed by the number and depth of the positive reviews of Liu Shair Law. Too good to be true? Well a phone call to set up the appointment reach a voice mail recording where I left my contact information on Christmas Eve. Figuring it was the holidays it might be forever before we get a return call. To our pleasant surprise we got a return call from Shannon that afternoon. We set up the initial meeting which she gave us the option to do over the phone or go into her office. She sent us a templet/questionnaire to help us prepare and to smooth the process along. Meeting Shannon was a delight! She was able to give us an overview to setting up the trust and the reasons for us doing so. Shannon was able to answer any questions that we had concisely, and was able to put us at ease encouraging us to ask questions. So much of our understanding of the law was no longer valid due to changes within the law. It was really good to talk to someone who could explain the details and nuances of our questions. We had no idea going in how many different scenarios could play out where the trust would come into play. Shannon walk us through the entire Trust process in a thoughtful thorough manner. Three meetings with her and we completed everything with 2 weeks. Shannon provided us a list of next steps to consider and do on our part. Sign sealed delivered! HAPPY! read more

Luckily, Shannon made the whole process as smooth as possible. I love Shannon. She's super smart, funny, and has two adorable little kids, so she totally relates to young families who are new to this whole 'adulting' process. I am more than pleased with my experience at Lui Shair Law. Shannon's estate planning practice operates at the utmost level of quality. As a financial adviser, I am acutely aware of the specifics that go into the execution of complex, higher-level planning. What has made my experience with Shannon top notch is 2 major keys. The first is her knowledge. Estate planning is a very complicated subject which requires very specialized knowledge. It was apparent from the start that Shannon was extremely educated and experienced. The other key, which is important in any business,  is the execution of their operations. Shannon was trustworthy, professional, punctual, and efficient. Everything from the initial meeting to the follow-up was a very customer centric experience.  I will most definitely be recommending Shannon to friends, family, and most importantly, my clients. I look forward to doing business with her again in the future. read more
