Tracey put me right at ease straight away, and made the full body massage and age smart facial treatment feel like it lasted a lot longer than 1hour 45 minutes!. As part of the massage, a hot stone was put on my back, while I had a foot and leg massage. Tracey then moved to my upper back, which I totally needed (with my stress levels!). Tracey really got to the stress knots in my muscles and this was my favourite part of the session. The Age Smart facial was also fab. I had a good consultation before and afterwards, where the therapist talked through my cleansing routine, noted concerns (I got to take home a copy of this) and also gave me advice and Dermalogica product samples to take home. I had my face steamed, cleaned, exfoliated, toned and moisturised, and afterwards my complexion genuinely looked miles better than it has in ages. I really was de-stressed when I left and went home considering when I book in again! Would highly recommend, especially if you are feeling stressed!

I suffer from terrible upper back and neck tension, and I discovered alternating the Virginia Williams 1/2 hour massage with the deep tissue massage on a monthly basis reduced pain, helped me relax and gave me instant results. In addition, she was full of excellent tips for helping to reduce general stress and promote well being. I have also had the mini-facial, which was also incredible: Refreshing, cleansing and relaxing. Virginia Williams did a skin analysis of my face before recommending a course of Dermalogica treatments. I have become a devotee of this regime, and my skin has come on leaps and bounds!

I found the Beauty Basement, not far from Holborn tube, in the basement of The Cutting Room. This is why I've only given it 4 stars, as the size of it (tiny) and the location (underneath a hairdressers, bit confusing) are not ideal. However, Lauretta, who did my facial, was brilliant. It lasted almost double what I was told it would, and never felt like she rushed at all. The facial also involved some massage, which was wonderful, and my skin felt lovely afterwards. We had a thorough conversation about what my skin concerns were and what I wanted to improve and she gave me her recommendations. We both agreed that the radio frequency facial would be best for me as ageing and wrinkles were my main concern. I was slightly nervous about the facial as it was a machine facial and I had only had facials before with products but the therapist assured me it was a very comfortable/relaxing facial and she couldn't have been more right, in fact I slept through the whole treatment.
