I came here for lunch with a co worker! We ordered ahead on their website. The ordering system was a bit confusing as I wasn't able to select a pickup time. However, I did receive a text letting me know my order was ready ~10 minutes after I placed my order. The sandwich was so fresh and had the perfect amount of ingredients! It's a bit on the pricey side but you can tell the quality of the produce is top notch. Pro tip: there is not seating available inside or outside this store. A quaint little shop that focuses on wine, cheese, meats and fancy little snacks. However, they also have a rotating daily sandwich if you want to grab something more substantive for lunch. Most sandwiches are pretty high quality; can rival places that specialize in sandwiches. Italian Cold Cuts Sandwich: It was like bunch of wispy thinly sliced ham. Loved the texture and the slightly salty taste. Some really good creamy mustard dressing countering the saltiness. The bread was firm and hearty. Overall, filling and satisfying. Pastrami Sandwich: The pastrami was sliced extremely thin, like deli ham, as opposed to hot thick slices you might find at a carvery (e.g. Tommy's Joynt). The pastrami was also mildly flavored, not emanating the heavy spice aromas you sometimes find. Additionally, the bread was the same firm roll that seems to be used on all the other sandwiches, instead of a softer rye. So with all that in consideration, it felt more like a ham & cheese sandwich than a pastrami sandwich. However, one nice perk was the homemade Russian dressing which seemed to have large slices of pickle in it; that was fun. Everyday Cheese Sandwich: Kinda like if you'd be eating bread and cheese and fig jam from a charcuterie board, but assembled all at once in sandwich form with a little bitter arugula thrown on to contrast the rich cheese. You have to go here - I am going to be dreaming about the sandwiches we got for months my partner and I split the roast beef and the Brie/fig/prosciutto sandwiches. I hate horseradish so I thought I wouldn't like the roast beef but the second I tried it we had to split both. It was AMAZING. The ingredients were so fresh and delicious. Just came into this place with my GF and wow, amazing. We live a few blocks away and always passed this place walking our dogs and finally stopped in. We were blown away by the selection of foods and the service from the woman working there. Food/selection: Woah, tons of cheeses and add ons in this place. We were hosting a group of six at our Apt and needed cheese and meats, this place had it all. We ended up with three cheeses, two meats, and a variety of crackers. We found Wagu beef and other items we will be back soon for! Service: The woman working there was so friendly and helpful! She let us try a few meats and cheeses. She had really good feedback on what to pair. She was more than helpful. Way better service than other places we have been to in the city. Pricing: The pricing is right on par for what you would expect in SF for a niche little store. Overall: Super happy we finally came into the store. You should at least stop in and check it out. I'm here to counter a recent 1 star review. i no longer live in this hood, but it was one of my goto spots for a quick sandwich. Not quite as packed with meat as Molinari sandwiches, but cheaper, the daily special always interesting and usually ready to grab and go, straight up $10 no monkeying with change, etc. the store is delightful. small, well stocked, really nice inventory. its really a gem of a place, well appreciated on that end of grant. read more

Tried their daily sandwich recently and it was a quite good roast beef. Nothing crazy in terms of creativity but just high quality meet and cheese. But those things go a long way. This shop has a well curated selection of outstanding products. Some of the best you can get in each category, and things you may not find elsewhere - particularly, small producers of really good cheese and wine. They carry some lesser-known wines I know that are some of the best I've had. One of the male employees is a wealth of knowledge that only someone with passion about the products would have. This is a really special shop. Their Italian sandwich has a good combination of flavors on really good bread (haven't tried their other sandwiches). So today I stumbled upon this place due to the fact that I was waiting to get a haircut and needed a quick but tasty bite. The Saturday special was the prosciutto sandwich, which had prosciutto, burrata, arugola and marmelade. First of all I'm not a big fan of an Italian sandwich with marmalade due to the fact that it's not traditional. However this Italy meets France sandwich was amazing, the burrata and marmalade went so well together which I didn't expect, the bread was fresh and soft unlike molinari and the prosciutto was fresh and cut to perfection (thinly sliced that is). Yes $12 bucks for a sandwich is a bit much I agree, however they use too notch ingredients and to me it was worth every penny. This was by far one of the best sandwiches I have ever had, perhaps even better than ones I had in Europe. Well done. I will see you again!!! read more

Me & my boyfriend were waiting for this place to open, since it's only a block from our place. And it's finally open!!! Yay! We've been trying something new almost everyday. Today I tried the capicola sandwich! It was great! A tiny bit of spice to it, and the cheese on it SO YUMMY~ We had some of their fresh eggs the other day, which we used for our breakfast, and for some hard boiled in our salads! We've been drinking the Straus Family whole Milk it's so yummy. Nice thick, creamy. (If you like that kinda thing!) We've also enjoyed Emmy's dill pickles, yum yum! A nice fresh taste. A little sour. Similar to half sour pickles. Cornichons! Are my favorite though! These I get EVERY TIME! Emmy's bread and butter slices are delicious as well, not too sweet! I have also tried their cream cheeses & Bagels! Last night we had steaks bought from their store. Delicious!!! We cooked them med-rare. I will be buying more steaks from here! We also enjoy the bacon too! Their selection of meat is a good size(pork chops, chicken, steak, ground beef..) Their selection of cheeses is large and seems to have a wide selection of flavors. This place is the gem of my heart in North Beach. Firstly the folks that work there/own the place are SO SO accommodating and helpful. A case study in terrible food. I went here yesterday for an unassuming lunch, and I left quite disappointed and slightly nauseous. The service was especially slow, and in the very small space there was little to do except read the rave reviews posted on the wall (all very old). Some last thoughts. I am so lucky to live right up the hill from Little Vine. They always have exactly what I want, and if I don't know what I want, they can help me figure it out. They have an excellent selection of wines, cheeses, meats, and other specialty goods. They host wine tastings on Thursdays, and can always recommend some stellar bottles of wine. They also make great sandwiches and drip coffee. The staff is super knowledgeable of their products, so don't hesitate to ask them questions or for suggestions. Their items are a bit pricey, but you definitely get what you pay for (in the best way possible). I also wish they stayed open a little later, but I've learned to stop by on my way home from work.
