Sunny side matcha
Maria R.

When I walked in the employee was very fast to take my order that I didnt even see the sign to order on the tablet until after I ordered. I got the matcha sunny side up and it was exactly what I needed smooth creamy and not too sweet I got 70%. The service was wonderful and he made the drink with care and was especially careful to not mess up the egg. The milk in the drinks is so good I drank a little before mixing and thought I would get a cup of just the milk it was so good.

Came here for brunch and got the matcha drink with a cute little egg on top, honey garlic wings, soft shell crab pasta, and the strawberry soufflé pancake. The pancake took a while to come out but I didn't mind that since we ate the others first. I liked the strawberry with the pancake a lot! The soft shell crab pasta was also really good.

The food and drinks here are definitely worth the visit! The strawberry soufflé pancakes were incredible--super fluffy, light, and perfectly sweet. I also highly recommend the rose and lychee drink; the flavor profile is floral and refreshing. It took a little while for us to get our order in, but the quality of the sweets and cocktails made up for the wait. The ambiance is modern and minimalist, which I liked because it lets the food be the star of the show

We came here for dessert and it was pretty empty. The staff were super nice and patient. We order the jasmine ice cream bowl and black sesame croffle. The jasmine ice cream has a strong jasmine aroma to it. It taste pretty light and not too sweet. The black sesame croffle was really good. The croffle was the perfect texture and not too dry. The black sesame adds a good flavor to the ice cream and croffle. Overall, would come back for the desserts.

a cute little brunch spot with a nice variety of menu items- sweet, savory, salty, they have it all. my friend and I over ordered as per usual and got: little uluh burger: 8.5/10 hainan chicken: 8.5/10 strawberry soufflé: 8/10 the little uluh burger is super juicy and flavorful, def add the fries! my friend says she still thinks about the hainan chicken, but I didn't think it was mind blowing. still yummy tho! the strawberry soufflé is one of their most popular items and required a 20 minute wait. it was a nice end to our brunch, but I think we were too full to enjoy it fully. the staff are super attentive and it wasn't crowded, no need for a reservation!

Located near St Marks, Little Uluh is both a restaurant and a quick stop to grab a drink. They have a booth at the front where you can order a drink to-go, but they also have a restaurant if you walk a bit further, where you can sit down. If you sit down at their restaurant, then there's an order minimum that you must meet for each person. Service here is good. The interior is also spacious and there's plenty of seating. My friend and I originally just came in for their drinks, and so we got two matchas. But, once we found out there was a minimum, we ordered their strawberry souffle pancake. The drinks were good but definitely way too sweet for me (and I don't think I would get it again). But, their souffle pancake was really good. Super fluffy and eggy and not too sweet. I would definitely come back to try their savory food items!

Came with friends after lunch elsewhere to get the matcha souffle pancake. We sat down but there is a minimum of $15 per person for table service so we got up and ordered it to go. It takes about 15-20 mins but was delicious!!! Super light and fluffy. The pancake also is a little eggy (which I love but not everyone else does) and not too sweet. The matcha cream was also light but not too sweet and very matcha forward. Highly recommend!

Love the light airy taste of the soufflé. It was the best brunch, I will be sure to return. The service was pleasant and welcoming.

Walked by this place one night after grabbing pizza and decided to come in after recognizing the name! My friend and I tried the strawberry souflee which takes about 20 minutes to make and both grabbed some tea. The dessert was deliciously fluffy and not super sweet. Def great combo for a rainy cold day in nyc. The venue is medium sized and it's pretty quiet as of now it's a great place to hang. Waiters are friendly. Overall a good experience, but it is a bit on the pricey side!

Zang zang bolognese

Came after 3pm on a weekend with no wait to be seated. Ordered the zang zang bolognese and the strawberry soufflé pancakes. I opted to order my drink at the front and got a strawberry matcha which I enjoyed. The matcha was bitter alone and blended well into the sweetness of the strawberry milk. I was surprised to see the zang zang bolognese come out as a baked dish with melted cheese at the top. It reminded me of the baked spaghetti and rice dishes from a cha chan tang (HK style diner). This was a pretty deep dish and was filling. The strawberry soufflé pancakes were just chef's kiss. The texture was fluffy, the cream reminded of the cheese foam flavor in drinks, and there were fresh and dried strawberries. I would come back to eat this alone. Overall really enjoyed the food and the ambience and was a great place to eat and yap for hours.

Came here for lunch on a weekday. Food, service, and ambiance were all great. We enjoyed all of the dishes we ordered. My drink was a 10/10, I ordered one of the non-caffeinated refresher drinks with a foam topping. One Star less is because I agree with other reviews that it is a bit overpriced for what it is. However, that won't stop me from returning because I think there aren't many nice "brunch" places like this in the area.

Sunny side up matcha latte

Walked in for a weekday lunch lured by the poster outside advertising a bubble tea with oats (I'm still sad that Gong Cha stopped offering oats as a topping). The space was dimly lit and clean. We put our tea orders in right away--uluhuluh milk tea and sunny side up matcha latte--and, after some deliberation, we decided on a corn and cheese appetizer, an egg souffle that the server warned us would take about 30min, and a fried chicken sandwich. Both drinks were great, good chew on the tapioca and a strong black tea flavor with a welcome hint of bitterness for the uluhuluh milk tea. The sandwich arrived first and after about 30min, the server told us that the souffle had collapsed under the weight of the toppings (relatable tbh) and asked if we'd like a different dish to replace it. The server also offered a complimentary beverage for the wait which was very considerate. For the dish, we went with the salmon ochazuke rice which was delivered quickly and was served by pouring a light tea broth on top. It was a comforting bowl that my friend mentioned tasted like a Ghanaian soup from her childhood. The chicken sandwich was excellent, great flavor with my only note being that the slaw could've been a little drier to help maintain the integrity of the sandwich. I would happily stop in again to try other menu items, food and bubble tea alike.

We came with a big group and the staff were really accommodating to all our requests. Food and drinks were really good. Loved the soft shell crab pasta.

RATING: 4.5/5 | Came on a Saturday late afternoon and it was busy! The line moves, thankfully. It's…read morerelatively spacious for a cafe, but there's minimal seating. There is some counter space, but mainly for standing purposes. I ordered a standard Iced Matcha Latte with Oat Milk ($7.35) and my friend got her usual Iced Strawberry Matcha Latte ($8). Docking 1/2 point bc the matcha is pre-made. I'm a fan of the whisking process bc I do believe there's a craft to matcha overall. Surprisingly, my drink tasted fine and my bev was a good color, so I was pleasantly happy. We waited less than 10 min for a table to open up, but you have to be there at the right time, otherwise you prob just grab your drink + go. Overall, glad I tried Kijitora. It's not my first matcha choice, but it was decent for a standard matcha latte. Their specialty matcha drinks look to have mixed reviews, but I'm personally not a fan of sweet drinks.

I came here today to experience local matcha from Kijitora, a local matcha place that was all about…read morecats! Everything was cat They had a lot of merchandise dedicated to cats! The tote bags were so cute but they were kind of pricey in my opinion. A standard beige Kijitora bag was priced for $30 each! They had several designs for sale. I was just busy checking out the cool cat merchandise while I was waiting in the long line to purchase the matcha drinks. The line was exceptionally long! It was worth the hype though! When I was my turn, I got an iced strawberry matcha latte and an iced mango matcha latte. It was so pretty when I got them. The mango and strawberry paste were sitting at the bottom of the matcha latte. I had to stir and mix the fruits with the whole drink. Surprisingly it was not sweet at all and was just right! They made it in a way that wanted you to crave more of it. It was very addicting. I did not get onigiris this time but will be sure to get some next time I'm here. They were just $4 each for miso salmon, tuna mayo, mentaiko cod roe, sukiyaki beef, and chashu pork. What a decent price for one onigiri! I would definitely be sure to get the miso salmon next time I'm here. The place was very cute with nice little tables for individuals. The place was very cozy with lots of sunlight coming in. Very modern with plants all around. It was so loud with people talking over each other. There were too many people on a Sunday afternoon so I had to walk around or cut through people to get my way. It was that crowded. I also didn't expect this place to be on the second floor and the stairs to be that steep. It was hectic carrying my stroller upstairs. Luckily someone helped me get down! The stairs are very narrow so I had to hold onto the rail. It was not ergonomically friendly at all.

I probably never leave reviews in general, especially negative ones, but this experience was so…read moreegregious that I honestly felt like I had to say something. I've worked in restaurants and bars long enough to understand that staff drinking happens, but this was on another level entirely. I came in with a group of friends and one of the bartenders, Will, was so visibly drunk that it made the entire experience uncomfortable. Slurred speech, wobbling behind the bar, taking orders while chewing food with his mouth open -- it was honestly embarrassing to watch. He looked like he absolutely did not want to be there. At one point, my group had been trying to get his attention for another round for quite a while while he stood around talking with coworkers. We then watched staff take a shot together, and when he finally came over he burped mid-conversation and literally had whatever he had just been drinking dribbling down his neckbeard. That was the moment where the whole thing went from unprofessional to just gross. What made it worse was that it didn't seem isolated to one employee. Throughout the night we watched staff openly taking shots and drinking behind the bar like it was a house party instead of a business. There's a difference between bar culture and complete lack of professionalism, and this crossed that line hard. One of the friends I was with actually frequents the DUMBO location and said that the last time she was there, the same bartender also seemed intoxicated, which makes this feel less like a bad night and more like an ongoing issue. The DUMBO location itself is in an amazing spot, which makes it even more disappointing. But ownership seriously needs to get control of what's going on there before someone gets hurt or the place develops a reputation for having drunk staff on the clock. Unfortunately, the experience was uncomfortable enough that my girlfriends and I won't be coming back. I genuinely hope the employee mentioned gets help if this is a regular thing, because nobody should be working service in that condition.
