Sasha met us at our home a few hours after being released from the hospital after an emergency c section. She was compassionate and extremely patient with our rollercoaster of emotions from being two scared new parents who needed a lot of help. But after the first night, all of our fears were laid to rest. Sasha took full Control and taught me how to properly breastfeed, pump and store my breast milk. She kept him with her in the living room while dad and I slept "soundly" from the hours of 11pm-7am and 9pm-5pm. She did wake me up every 3-4 hours to either feed babe or pump and then swiftly took him Back so we could get back to sleep. Sasha is a very smart and caring woman who thoroughly loves what she does and it shows. I highly recommend her company for your after care needs. I would hire her again!!!

In the lead up to the birth, Dawn was there to offer any advice we needed, and she gave us extensive instruction on the different ways the day might go. When the birth finally came, we had a number of unexpected scenarios, and Dawn was able to offer an informed perspective on what to expect, as well as what to push for and against at the hospital. She ultimately helped us make a very difficult decision, and if she hadn't been there, we firmly believe we'd still be debating whether it was the correct one. But she was there, and while it wasn't in our initial birth plan, we were happy with the choices made, and we now have a healthy baby boy. In the post-partum period, Dawn was always there to answer questions and offer support. She once again gave well-rounded advice on what to expect, as well as practical tips on dealing with a newborn. We've had friends who have had questionable-to-bad experiences with their doula, and that seems like it would be a nightmare in the very moment when you need the most support.
