It's only a steep, windy 15 min drive from the larger town of Cottonwood, but offers wonderful views and cute charm. I would highly recommend stopping here if you're visiting Central Arizona. The bed was slightly hard and the house is older but breakfast was great. Nancy even accommodated for my Vegan friend. You get your own entrance, living room, bedroom, garden patio and bathroom that sits below their main house. My only complaint was that I got - what I believe to be -altitude sickness because as soon as I went "down the hill" to Cottonwood, I felt significantly better. (5000 elevation to 3300). I've been in higher cities before, but never felt anything like this. A local told me it might have been due to the ghosts! Either way, I had a good time and took some nice photos.

We usually just go up for the day and check out the local shops, drink wine and eat food from "not chains." This time we wanted more as it was our two year anniversary AND the Jerome Historic Home Tour. I couldn't find a place but being the most resourceful gal ever, Rach nabbed what had to be one of the last rooms available in town. When we pulled up, I have to admit I didn't know what to expect. Once we got situated inside I realized what a great find Rach had really made. I really liked this B&B had only one guest suite as it has it's own separate entrance and patio that can see all the way to Sedona. B&B's to me always seem a little confined as the rooms are usually a little older and not much space to really relax. Not so at Hillside. I really like the separate living area with its great assortment of historical references on Jerome, (we came for a bit of history and were pretty impressed with what we found). And the back patio, it's quiet and has views that are tough to beat. The owners Nancy and Mike couldn't have been cooler as well. They gave us plenty of ideas for things to do in town and really made the experience that much more enjoyable. Breakfast was filling and delicious and the coffee didn't suck. Although there are a couple other places I am eager to see and stay in Jerome I am really looking forward to the next time I can spend time at Hillside. Oh, be sure to find the book about Ghost Towns. It's big and white and the pages for Jerome are falling out. Worth the find!

The Fam. and I spent this past Friday and Saturday night at Trapper's and we would return in a heartbeat. Trapper's Rendezvous site out in the wide open spaces that surround Williams. If you want to get to town, it is a 5 minute drive, maybe 10 if you get stuck behind an RV. You get the peace and quiet with the convenience of being close to town. We arrived at Trapper's around 3 after visiting Bearizona and having lunch. Check-in wasn't until 4, but we called and said our room was ready. Emily and Matthieu are the onsite hosts and they are so nice. They do a great job at taking care of the place. Literally within minutes or people checking out, they are getting the room ready for the next guest. Trapper's has a total of 6 cabins. All of them placed around a courtyard with a large pavilion in the center. We were assigned cabin one. Better known as Wild Wild West. The room was spacious with to very comfortable queen sized beds. There was also a smart tv, fridge, and coffee maker. You can even sit out on the front porch to Strat your morning with a cup of coffee or watch the sun go down in the evening. Note: Cabin 1 is an ADA room. If you feel like cooking for yourself, there is a gas grill available in the pavilion. We grilled some kabobs and it was a great experience. However, you'll need to bring your own plates and flatware. If you want to sit around the fire and make s'mores, you can do that also. Everything you need is provided for you. All you need is the s'mores fixins.

Andria, you picked the perfect room for me and my husband, without a doubt. It was charming and the personality of the room was big, bold and flavorful, we loved it. We heard about your gourmet breakfast and I was excited to actually to be able to experience it, and it was not disappointing. The art work was fabulous with a lot of history, the articles were great, but Andria took the time to do her own library. The happy place. Binders of her life, so much time and details. This is the only place that I have ever been that has as many books a small library. Even flip books, a special treat for me for sure. Former…read moreInnkeepers' Perspective As former bed-and-breakfast owners, we know firsthand just how incredibly demanding this business can be. It's nonstop work - from the early morning prep for gourmet breakfasts to the meticulous cleaning, thoughtful decorating, and personalized hosting that makes guests feel truly welcomed. It's exhausting, but when done right, it's magical. That's why we're so thrilled to share our experience at the Sheridan House Inn. This B&B doesn't just meet the high standards of the industry; it soars far above and beyond them. From the moment we arrived, the attention to detail was evident. The accommodations are among the best we've ever encountered - luxurious, spotlessly clean rooms with premium linens, comfortable beds that invite deep sleep, and thoughtful amenities that show the owners truly care about guest comfort. The Inn itself creates a warm, inviting environment that's relaxing yet elegant, the kind of atmosphere that's hard to achieve but makes all the difference. And the food? Outstanding. The breakfasts are gourmet masterpieces - fresh, creative, and delicious, prepared with obvious passion and skill. But what truly sets the Sheridan House apart and elevates it above and beyond any other B&B we've ever stayed are the exceptional dinners they offer. These are not your typical B&B fare; they're multi-course Michelin-style quality meals that are memorable, beautifully presented, and an absolute highlight of the stay. The location in the charming town of Williams is another huge plus. Williams is a great place to visit - from exploring the historic Route 66 vibe and gateway access to the Grand Canyon, to unique shops, railroads, wildlife parks, and hiking trails. The hosts go all out without making it feel forced - they're genuinely hospitable, anticipating needs and sharing local insights that enhance the stay. This level of dedication is rare and deserves recognition. Is it worth the money? Absolutely, and then some. In a world of cookie-cutter hotels and average B&Bs, the Sheridan House delivers great value through an unparalleled experience. If you're looking for the best bed-and-breakfast getaway - especially in the Southwest - it'd be hard, if not impossible, to beat this one. Highly recommended without reservation. Thank you to the wonderful owners, Debby & Mark, for keeping the spirit of true B&B hospitality alive and thriving.
