I've enjoyed their dishes and always go for the Fried Fish dish, which is fried fish with a kind of curry sauce with onions and pepper on rice. They have never once done us wrong, and we always love supporting them. Honestly, we haven't tried a single thing we didn't love: Noodles & Entrees: The Pad Thai and Pad See Ew are outstanding, and the curries, Pad Kua Tew, and Lad-Na are all delicious. Starters: The steamed dumplings are hands-down the best (though fried are great too!), the shrimp summer rolls are amazing, and the crab rangoons, chicken wings, and chicken egg rolls are super tasty. Desserts: You can't go wrong with either the mango sticky rice or the custard sticky rice--both are fantastic! (We still need to try the soups, but everything else has been incredible). Incredible food, wonderful people, and amazing service every single time!

Our table was printed with a scenic painting of a Thai woman paddling a small boat. Nice touch. Surprised that all the servers were non-Asian women, which would have added to the cultural accuracy of the business. Regardless, ours was friendly and efficient and took good care of us. We ordered Tom Kha Soup, Fried Calamari as appetizers, and Drunken Noodles (#3 spice level) with vegetables and Ginger Stir Fry with Shrimp (#2 spice level) as our entrees. The coconut milk based soup which is normally on the sweeter side, also contained lemongrass which sparked a heated response. Different, but not beyond the pale. The Calamari was a mixed bag, with several of the rings tough, rubbery and lacking freshness. The dipping sauce was good. Our mains were both much better. The Drunken was loaded with carrot, green, yellow and red pepper, tomato, celery, spring onion, yellow onion, and sprouts. The sauce was just hot enough to make my nose run and very delicious. The Ginger Stir Fry was loaded with plump shrimp, Thai basil, onion and some other colorful veggies. My sister loved it. Aside from the slip with the squid, this was a satisfying tasty Thai dinner, with good service in a pleasant ambient room. Four Phuket Stars.

We started with the dynamite shrimp, which was decent but not my favorite. It didn't have much flavor, and the sauce it came with didn't really complement the dish. For the main course, I ordered my favorite the Panang Curry. It's always delicious here, creamy and full of flavor, and they nailed the spice level just right for me. The only downside was that there seemed to be more vegetables than meat and I would've liked a bit more pork in the curry. Overall, this place remains one of my favorite Thai restaurants for its authentic flavors, relaxing vibe, and consistently good service. Just a few small tweaks on the portions and it'd be perfect.

I recently dined at a Thai restaurant and was thoroughly impressed by the experience. The food was incredibly fresh, with vibrant flavors that truly showcased the authenticity of Thai cuisine. Each dish was prepared and served quickly, making it perfect for both a quick lunch or a relaxed dinner. The highlight, however, was the friendly staff. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and attentive service. The staff was knowledgeable about the menu and made excellent recommendations, enhancing our dining experience. Overall, this restaurant is a gem for anyone craving delicious Thai food served in a welcoming and efficient environment. Highly recommended! read more

This is the most unassuming Thai restaurant in the Hampton-Newport News area. It also boasts the most genuine Thai tasting dishes I've had in the area (note: I've tried 10 different Thai restaurants in Hampton & Newport News). Yes, I was torn between writing a positive review that would make the wait longer the next time I order or not writing a review at all. This Thai food deserves many more customers than it probably currently gets, being inside a Walmart (hidden from the world). While I only needed to order one main dish, I thought, let me try my two traditional go-to dishes: Shrimp Pad Thai & Shrimp Panang Curry. I asked for just a little spiciness for both dishes and the flavors were outstanding. The shrimp were sizable and cooked perfectly (not those small little excuses for shrimp some restaurants use). The Panang curry be slightly thicker and could use a few more vegetables, in addition to the red peppers, but I was so satisfied with the delicious shrimp and outstanding Panang curry that I poured over perfectly cooked white rice. Finally, while there's one small table there, this is really a take-out restaurant, and that's fine with me. Give it a try. You won't be disappointed. Hong Kong has a family style meal that is a real steal - you get to custom select four items for about $30. That works fine for us having limited options to select from -- mostly it's the most popular fare that gets included. We ordered the sweet and sour pork, pork lo mein, cashew chicken and crab rangoon. We ended up with no cashew chicken and got general tso's instead -- also got a vegetable lo mein instead of the pork. It didn't matter much on the noodles, but I don't do spicy, so getting the general's instead of the cashew chicken was a big difference. Luckily we'd ordered through GrubHub so we were able to put in for a refund. We didn't eat any of that and ended up just throwing it away. The sweet and sour was okay, but has the generic bright red sauce which I've really come to dislike now that I've found other places that do a more traditional pale orange one. Overall, not super impressed. Will most likely be going back to our usual go-to places even though the monetary deal here on the family meal is pretty nice.
