Staff have been there for years, and you want there to be little staff turn over for consistency. You will get to know your child's teacher. They respond to any concerns, and do so courteously. The owner, Kate, has always been very professional and I really appreciate that. They have a backyard so kids can also be outdoors. While it was hard at first to leave my son, and he cried for about two weeks at drop off (all normal) now when I pick him up there are days he doesn't want to go home because he is having fun!

LOVE THIS PRESCHOOL! I am a mother of 3 little girls. Twins ages 5 and their younger sister who is 4. My girls have all been going here for almost 2 years now. The owner and director of the school Ms. Virginia is amazing! Very warm and welcoming and runs a very structured, clean, organized and fun environment for children. My twin daughters cried all day for almost 2 months, now I don't even get a goodbye in the mornings. The hours are awesome for a working parent, drop off at 7:30 and pick up no later than 6:00. My twin daughters also have asthma and when they are sick with asthma episodes I need not to worry ONE BIT! My daughters get their treatments and the teachers keep to my schedule. Academically this school rocks! HW every other night which consists of tracing, coloring, cutting & pasting. Only one sheet per HW night and it is very manageable. Breakfast and snacks are served at school only lunch has to be sent in. Which they warm up =) I love love love this school and I am sad my twins will be going to kindergarten in September =(

This facility is quite large, there is a library, a gym, an outdoor playground and a large parking lot for parents to park during pickup and drop-off.  There is also a kitchen, all food served to the students are made onsite. Parents are welcome to bring home food for their kids too (with the exception of nuts, this is a nut free school). My son was under 1, so he was placed in the infant room.  The two teachers were very attentive to my son's needs, anything we requested they would accommodate. I usually spent a few minutes chatting with the teachers when I picked him up and I could tell that they paid attention to what my boy was doing. My second boy also started attending this school when he was 6 months old, and his teachers were also warm and loving. My boys always smile when they see their teachers every day! The school offers tons of activities, there is the regular Kung-Fu, yoga, Chinese and music as well as extracurricular classes (additional fees), piano, reading, ballet and art. Not to mention all the fun activities they already do, celebrate fall with apple tasting, funky hat day for Dr. seuss' Cat in the Hat, visits from local librarians and fire fighters, hunt for the Pot of Gold on St. Patrick's day, parents reading to the kids on pajama days....just to name a few. The teachers my sons have are all engaging, loving and wonderful. They not only pay attention to each child's need but also think of ways to gently encourage them to do better on their own. The school directors are Jane and Una, they are friendly, approachable and responsive to parents' concerns and ideas. They send email communications often and usually attach pictures of the students enjoying school activities. They really do a fantastic job in making the school a safe and happy environment for the kids. My boys are happy to go to Preschool of America and it gives me peace of mind knowing they are well taken care of every day.

We started at this facility in 2012, when my first was 7 months old. My second started when he was 6 months old in 2017. We left in September 2017 when my oldest went to K because we don't live in the vicinity and I had been driving back and forth from LI ever since my son turned 1. We loved the facility, the (mostly) caring staff and the "human" directors. Why do I say "human"? Because they really care about your kids, and notice things such as possible delays, and address issues with the kids. Yes, there are some teachers/assistants I didn't like. One teacher, in particular, who would always put my son in a high chair because he "misbehaved" and then leave him there until I came to pick up. I never saw her again after that one year so seemed like Jane got rid of her. But the majority of the teachers are excellent. Ms. Maria (who got promoted to head office), Ms. Melissa, Ms. Una, Ms., Brittany. Loving, caring, dedicated teachers. My older son grew up with these teachers and assistants. They know and love him. Ms. Ali, who we miss every single day, treated my son like her own. Teachers jokingly called my son her godson. My son is also pretty fluent in Chinese, which I have for thank PofA for. I requested the Chinese teachers to speak to him in Chinese as much as possible. My younger son now goes to an all American facility so will likely be lacking in the Chinese language department. All in all a great school.

As you know, this is huge for little ones but even more important to a child who may need speech therapy. My children needed prompting to talk and we saw many other schools that barely engaged at all with the students! Little Meadows is very hands on. They have several therapists on location (OT, PT, ST, and even a psychologist). They have weekly workshops that you can attend. All of the therapists I've encountered here do great work and always give me time if I need to chat about my boys' therapeutic progress. (By the way, CPSE doesn't cover feeding therapy. My children needed it badly and the speech therapist was kind enough to accommodate us. Going above & beyond their call was something I wasn't expecting but I appreciated it immensely!!) They offer half day & full day classes. They offer integrated classes that are split between community children and children with mild special needs. I'm not positive, but I believe they also offer classes for children with more severe special needs. Their playground is large, safe, and private for their own use. They have a gym to play in for rainy/snowy days. Knowing that the school is located in a safe neighborhood is also good to know because the children WILL go on neighborhood walks throughout the year. Parent involvement is often encouraged. Hands down, the best pre-k school I have visited in Queens.
