Ann, the director is simply amazing, very responsive, just good people. Rose and Mary, who handle my son's class are great, loving teachers. Minuses: Cost (But i'd be complaining about that no matter what, lol), was a long waiting list to get in Bottom line, I feel comfortable leaving my son (13 month old) there. Plus, He loves it!

Good adult:kids ratio.Rose and Mary (of the baby room) are ROCK STARS and we love them. Our current teachers would send the parents pictures via emails regularly (totally above and beyond being professional) which totally brightens up my day. A lot of the staff (even some teachers from other classes) would greet my little one by name and I feel like they really care. I'm a bit surprised to hear about negative first impression, maybe the time of the visit was during peak drop-off/pick-up time and understandably hectic. Some of the staff speak with accents and may sound harsher than intended. Overall I trust my child is safe and well cared for, which makes returning to work full time much easier than I anticipated.

My son spent one year here before his pre-k year. A…read moreconvenient daycare school in the neighborhood. It's gorgeous and pretty spacious, with a playground on the balcony. The staffs, including the principal and the classroom teachers are very nice and flexible. Children could learn many languages here, such as English, Chinese, and Spanish. Their business hour window is pretty long, which is very helpful to those families that both parents need work. The only thing that I don't appreciate too much is that they do have a plan for the daily meals, but obviously it has not been followed strictly.

The school is very well managed, extremely clean, and the supporting staff is also very good. My son got potty trained there within a few weeks, has learned some Mandarin and Spanish, and the extra optional classes that are available like Art Classes, Soccer, Piano lessons, etc provide a wide range of extra curricular learning opportunities. And their flexible hours allow parents with busy work schedules to get there early or plan for late pick ups. His teachers are so caring and provide great feedback on his achievements and areas the need improvement. They take feedback and are willing to work on areas that we would like them to focus on if we see any areas that they can help us with. Our son has made amazing friends, which is a testament of the kind of families that are in our neighborhood and even a few who travel a little further just to come to this specific location. We couldnt be happier with our decision to change schools to this location and to remain another year. As parents who really believe in a well rounded experience including education, art, sports, and more, we certainly get what we want to offer our child.

If you're looking for a good, quality preschool then this is the only place for you…read more My daughter attended prek here and had the best educational experience I could have hoped for. Every single adult who works at this school is amazing and caring. The director walks the hall every morning greeting the students, all of whom know him by name. The teachers were carefully hired and clearly love their students. My daughter had a tough time adjusting to school - the teachers were patient and caring and provided enough support to get her through those rough times. The director was encouraging and after a pretty difficult separation one morning told me to call him when I got to work so that he would Skype me to see my daughter and make sure she was doing well. This is the type of family you wish you could leave your children with. This place provides quality UPK using a play based and hands on approach to learning. This is rare in an age where academics with heavily on education. Our Savior ignited my daughter's curiosity. There was no pressure on her to learn to read for example; as a matter of fact there were no lessons at all. So I was pleasantly surprised when she picked up a book one day and simply started reading! She was learning through play, which is how all children should learn. I am devastated that the year is winding down to a close, but feel fortunate and blessed that we found a place that really helped my daughter grow. We will always have fond memories and I look forward to sending my second daughter there when it's time for prek!

Children are also taught how to be good citizens and good to one another! This school has an amazing way to teach and inculcate faith. My little one shows great reflection on the teachings of not only academics but religious teaching, which to me is incredibly important. If you want to have your child in one of the best schools in queens..then you should definitely consider Our Savior Lutheran School. Just a great school with an amazing helpful staff.
