Fast, cheap, just off the highway. Food was fine, service was fine.

We were riding the gap trail and got into our lodging quite late. The people at the White House…read morecame and got us. We walked into a warm welcoming family run business. As you walk in their pictures of the owners family on the wall and it was clear he knew everyone in the restaurant. The service was excellent. The food was wonderful and he made me a very special fall mule which was delicious! This is a wonderful truly family run business and obviously an important meeting place for the Towne. I would highly recommend it. They do provide Shuttle service for bike riders to and from the restaurant which is extraordinarily Sweet.

We got some great vegetables. And we were here right before dinner time. Everyone inside was very friendly and we were seated immediately. The soup and bread bar was a huge hit and I highly recommend it. There wasn't an empty seat in the place, that's how you can tell It's a good place. I got the veal parmigiana because it was a special and it was just a little rubbery. I didn't care for the meat, but everything else was fabulous. My wife got the Shrimp Alfredo Pasta and it needed a little more sauce, it was just a little dry. We were told by the owner, it was a good thing that we stopped today because next week they were shutting down the whole restaurant and taking all of their employees on a cruise because it was their 80th year anniversary. Who does that for their employees??? No one else!!! Enjoy!!!

I saw a sign for this place off the highway and was excited to get off and regain my composure. The guy who served me was so sweet, very friendly and didn't seem irritated with me talking and talking and talking lol I was anxious and couldn't help myself. We got some treats and used the very clean bathroom. They didn't have an annoying tip machine and the guy didn't even expect one but I wanted to show my appreciation for his kindness and allowing me to talk so much haha. Great place in a beautiful area 10 out of 10

Sliders and a huge bowl of applesauce for one kid (big approval on both). Bowl of creamy tomato soup for kid #2, which he said was amazing. Yard Bird sandwich was enormous, juicy, and very crisply fried. Corned beef and sauerkraut (housemade) in the Reuben was delicious but had a slightly disappointing meat-to-kraut ratio that had me wishing for a bit more of the tender corned beef. A really nice touch is that the kids meals are 1/2 off with the purchase of an entree. $5 instead of $10. Great deal and still high quality food. Our waitress was terrific but the kitchen was surprisingly slow given that there were only a few diners in the restaurant. (The slow service made it a 4 star, not 5, experience.) Nice decor and clean bathrooms. Some in our party wandered through the quaint artisan village across the street while we waited for our food.

Well, that and chicken parmesan night! The servers are lovely! Sweet as can be, from seating to leaving, and your cup will never be empty! I was with two other people was greeted. Hello we were able to sit down right away our server quickly cleaned up the table from the previous guest and went in to see the buffet, and it was less than desirable to look at, but we thought we'd give it a chance. The fruit was on its last legs. The whole buffet looked like it had been run over by a locomotive and nothing was fresh looking. Nothing was warm. Everything was unappealing. I was charged for three buffets, even though I didn't eat anything. The server did ask me if she could get me something and I asked for an English muffin that was warmed up. It wasn't even toasted. I would say $55 roughly for a glass of orange juice and a glass of diet Pepsi, a pancake, and a little bit of sausage and a glass of water. When I said something to the server about the food, she seemed surprised that I didn't like it. Maybe she never tasted it. This was an epic disaster will not be back was talking to the owner on Facebook and instead of just saying I'm sorry you were disappointed. Please come by. Will give you a refund for your buffet since I didn't eat anything from it
