The guys at the counter have always made me feel welcomed and appreciated as a customer. The first time I purchased a guitar here was back in the day at their old location. My mom brought me in and the sales guy kindly spent ages explaining to her the difference between many different types and models. He set me up with an inexpensive yet fantastic guitar that I still regret selling. It had such gorgeous tone. Buying my first guitar at here is a good childhood memory of mine. The second time, I wanted a specific model that wasn't in stock at this store. The sales guy who checked the stock at other stores and then placed the order for me was very nice and helpful. I've also rented a guitar and again, the process was quick and easy. I haven't spent much time in the other departments, but the selection for guitars and guitar accessories is terrific.

After being in Vancouver for a few days, I looked on-line for guitar rentals, not expecting to find anything. Lo, Long & McQuade popped up as the only viable option. Relatively close, too. Visited the North Van location and was in great hands with guitar rep, TARA (super friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating with my requests). Rented a Kramer Nite-V for two months for a fair price. Kept me from going insane. Only good things to say about the rental process. Other staff was great, too. Will definitely recommend to others and come back again when I'm in town.

I was driving the mains as hard as they could and I managed to dial in a severe sonic wall of full, rich sound with just enough top end to deliver the highs. The seemingly innocent looking jbl monitors ensure u hear every dynamic nuance guaranteeing a perfect reference point and a sinister level of decibels should u need to unleash some serious sound pressure levels. If you know how to mix, the gear is more than capable of producing blistering levels of sonic mayhem yet remain clean and defined throughout the entire mix.
