I came at exactly 11am, the time that Stella (she was nice) asked me to come. They sat me down thinking I was there for a wedding shoot and we had a good laugh out of it. The passport photos weren't exactly exceptional. $30 for a set of four, it seemed a little too much price to pay for the quality. Throughout the picture taking I felt like I was rushed, almost seemed like I was at CVS which I tried to avoid that's why I came to the professionals. 2-3 clicks and that was it, didn't even ask if it was OK. The photographer told me I can't smile, although through research, I found on the travel.gov website that you can either have a "neutral facial expression or a natural smile". I'm not sure I'd use these photos for my passport so I'd say this was a total waste. Judging by their wedding shots in their studio that they are good at what they do. But I can't say the same for passport photos.

I sprained my back before the day of the photo shoot which I didn't bother mentioning, but whatever. I can't remember the guy who came to my daughter's birthday to take pictures but he took awesome picures too. We went a bit crazy and spent over a grand as she was our first child, some might think the place is a bit pricey but it was worth it. Great experience overall.

She's very attentive, making sure she gets all the shots that you want, and captures the special moments you would want. She's also just such a nice person. She made me feel so comfortable at our engagement shoot (driving in the rain from Brooklyn!) when I felt super awkward in front of the camera. I felt comfortable all over again on our wedding day and she was just so pleasant to be around, laughing at our silliness the entire time. Her second shooter, Clarence, was the same, and so nice and funny. Elvira checked in with me constantly and even made sure to get our cake cutting and some family photos in right before their time was up at the reception. Since there weren't many MUAs in my area who seemed familiar with Asian makeup, we actually requested for Jina and team to travel to our wedding venue in Western NY. We had 2 mothers, 5 bridesmaids, and of course, one bride. Everything was done efficiently and we did not feel rushed at all. My friend said that her base makeup was the best color match she had ever had! And we all loved the way she did our eyelashes, they were LIFTED. I wish I had a better picture of the back of my head, because she also did a beautiful job on my hair. Even though the day was very windy, my hair stayed in position for the entire night :) The best part was that the makeup didn't sit on top of my face and feel cakey, and there was essentially no foundation lines at the end of the night when I went to remove my makeup. Honestly, if I'm ever in the NYC area I would take the time to attend one of her makeup classes, she's THAT GOOD. Located off the beaten path of the whitestone expressway is this hidden gem. I had trouble finding…read morethe entrance at first so parked at an adjacent lot and wandered around by foot. There's free parking and it's up a set of stairs. Appointment was set at 7pm but I arrived a few minutes early and was serviced right away. (I was there for a professional photo shoot) I was thrown off upon entry because the inside is filled with photos of babies from previous shoots and there was an overall "cutesy" feel to the whole place. The furniture and lighting wouldn't have looked out of place at Prince Tea House! There were 2 employees there. One photographer and the other heading touchups. The touchup lady first established the background I was looking for. The cameraman set up the sets and it was onto business. We were there for less than an hour for 8 shots with a change of backgrounds. I was shown the photos after each shot and adjustments were made accordingly with tips on smile, poses, and lighting throughout. I really enjoyed the communication. We finalized the shots I liked best and paid. ($20/photo) They performed the digital touchups after we left and photos were received by email about an hour after - with a phone call confirming they were received. I highly recommend
