So, I asked my mom where can I get him Red Wings or Thorogood's around here and she said we need to go to Montano's in Saugerties, so off we went. Montano's has been around since 1906, wow that is long time! They provide professional fitting services, Pedorthic care, and specialized inventory targeted to foot health support. Montano's has a variety of high-quality work-boot brands including Red Wing, Chippewa, Thorogood, Danner, Irish Setter, and Timberland. They have a variety of athletic and hiking footwear brands such as Merrell, Keen, Hoka, On Running, and Salomon. There is a selection catered to casual and comfort as well; brands include Dansko, Birkenstock, Blundstone, UGG, and Vionic. Fair warning, it's not cheap to shop here. You are buying pretty much the best-of-the-best with a professional service. Some of these work boots are easily $200+ and the specialty insoles are running $65+ so keep that in mind when shopping. I was able to kill two birds with one stone by buying my stepdad his birthday present and my mom a new pair of shoes for Mother's Day. It wasn't cheap but they are worth it, plus I don't get to see them as much as I would like. The Red Wings he chose were $200, the specialty insoles cost $65 and Mom's shoes were $120. All the items are of high quality and should last them until my next visit, lol. Staff were very friendly and helpful. From the moment we walked in we were treated with respect and one of the associates accommodated both my family members with all of their fitting needs. I just purchased a new pair of Keens recently for work but I was really interested in trying out a pair of Thorogood's. The problem is if I tried them on, I probably would have bought them. I just don't need another pair now but the selection here seems like an excellent choice for a future work boot. I might be back next year once I ware my Keens out. All-in-all, Montano's Shoe Store is an excellent spot to find great service and high-quality footwear for any occasion. I highly recommend visiting them if you in Saugerties shopping.

The Northern Dutchess Hospital's Thrift Shop is one of the better thrift shop I could ever visit…read more The floors are generally clean, and it's well maintained, and although they rarely have shoes to fit me(yes, on occasion, they do have mens shoes), there are some things they do commonly carry in my size. Their products are well tagged with prices, and service is good. Check this place out, before deciding on purchasing elsewhere(to make sure you've exhausted your search). Even for those who end up in Northern Dutchess Hospital and who have lost most of their clothes from car accidents or whatever, this store might even have some type of product to get you back on your feet at good prices, until you can get back on your feet again). No inside hallway connection between the hospital and this thrift shop exists, so walking between these two seems to be unconvincing. A person will either get hypothermic walking here, or become scorched from the hot sun walking here from the hospital). From the name, however, I wonder what percentage of the sales price the hospital takes in on money? This place doesn't look like it's been ever improved in a dozen or so years.

Couldn't ask for more. The product selection is always fresh varied and quite extensive. So much of the inventory is made in the USA, which is refreshing. The prices are very reasonable. It's the selection that you'll never find anywhere else. We live about two hours away and sometimes we go up there just for the purpose of shopping in that shop. I couldn't recommend any shop more than I do this one. Every visit is exceptional. Please support local small stores owned by locals.
