(I'd advise you to make an online reservation as it was crowdef when we went). You have an instructor and get to smell 80ish scents and chose which three you'd like to make for your candle! Its mix and match and you can always swap a scent out that you chose to get the most perfect smell. It was so unqiue that you can chose which vessel you'd like your candle to be seen in (there can be an upcharge depending on which you chose). You can even make your scent become a diffuser or perfume!! Lastly, there are drinks and food avaliable. Come back after two hours and you're candle is ready to go home. As a rose lover, I was especially drawn to the gorgeous hybrid roses, but there was so much more: ready-made bouquets and individual flowers in florist buckets for building your own arrangement. The salesperson was friendly and made the whole visit feel welcoming without being pushy. I bought a travel-size hand lotion from Catskill Mountain Lavender, a family farm in Saugerties. It has a lovely sweet floral lavender scent, is very moisturizing, and is the perfect size to tote around in a purse. I loved finding a locally made product among the shop's offerings. Eventually a new (as in her first class teaching there) instructor arrived and did t know how to check us in and couldn't take a credit card payment. Luckily I had cash and the former owner came in to take the class and knew where the change was. I'm not blaming the teacher at all, I own a studio and k ow how it goes. But the current owners really need to provide better training and support to their instructors. I enjoyed the class and the space.
