Good food! Even better was my philly cheesesteak was still hot when I got home from my carry out. I had a beef and pork philly w/cheese. It had good flavor and good amount of meat. I'll return. I recommend Philly Cheesesteak

Let me first say I am not a huge fan of Cheesesteaks. I know, I know, but most of the ones I have tried in my life just haven't been that great. I have had cheesesteaks with slimy nacho cheese on them and cheesesteaks with burned, sorry, over grilled-bell peppers, so it's just not my go to sandwich. I do, however, like cannolis so I had my husband stop here when he wanted lunch the other day so I could try the mini cannoli's. I wasn't that hungry and just wanted a sweet treat, but he was ready for lunch so it worked out perfectly. We ordered on door dash when we finished our afternoon walk and headed over. It said food would be ready in 15-20 min and we were only about 5 minutes away so we waited outside in the car for a bit. They never marked the food as done, so when we came in to get it, it had been sitting which I don't appreciate. However... the food was delicious. It was the best Philly Cheesesteaks I have ever had and my husband (who is a cheesesteak lover) said it was top 3 for him which is a big deal. The mushrooms and onions were plentiful and delicious and the cheese was spot on. The bread was super soft and seemed very fresh. We also got onion rings instead of fries and they were crispy but not too oily with a nice flavor. The mini cannolis were actually the thing I liked least lol. I mean, they were ok but the sandwich was the star. My poor husband! I ate half his lunch after telling him I wasn't hungry. I guess men get used to that though. We will be back for sure.

NEW OWNERSHIP AS OF January 2022 OPEN EVERYDAY 11-8 except, Sunday. They update their Facebook often. We have been meaning to stop in since the new ownership in January. We had an opportunity to stop in this evening 2/23/22. The moment we walked in we felt so comfortable. The updated the decor, which was a major improvement, was wonderful! They put in ship lap on the lower half of the wall and painted it a beautiful blue with a nice bright white throughout the upper half of the wall and the business. The hostess stand is beautiful! It is crisp and clean! We ordered the homemade tzatziki with pita to start. The pita was fried, next time I'll order it but ask for the pita to not be dried. It was all delicious! I ordered the cheesesteak with American cheese and grilled onions. It was great. Actually better than the one I had with the previous owners. The meat was cooked perfect and the grilled onions were the right cut. The bread is softer than what I would normally prefer for a cheesesteak but, that is just preference. My husband order the Gyro. He was impressed and happy with his meal. My daughter loved her kids cheeseburger. My son enjoyed the kids chicken tenders. There was three of them, his belly could have used 1-2 more. But, that is preference as well. In all the food was great. My husband half way through his meal said he would return. We wrapped everything up with mini cannolis. They were tasty as well. In the end everything was delicious and flavorful. Our waitress and other staff were great. They were attentive and we never had a moment where we were searching for someone to help us. Great work!

This is a cheesesteak with mayo, tomato , onions, pickes and banana peppers. It does not come with tomato's, mayo , or pickle.

Had a really bad experience with the new Little Philly. We had three sandwiches in our order , all came out different then we ordered. The server seemed to blame us. They wanted $3.99 for a juicebox and when you order water they bring a bottle and charge $1.25. When we explained the orders weren't right the server had an attitude and just sorta walked away. The steaks aren't stuffed with meat and cheese , cheeseteak subs from the past little philly. Much smaller portions, but not much smaller prices. The fried mushrooms were barely edible. Other patrons seemed to like the Gyros perhaps they should just drop the cheesesteaks and go that route. The service could be just growing pains, the upsell on bottled water and massively reduced steak portions are reduced value.

My friend who I was with had been there when she was a child, but has not been back since. This was my first time. She took the time to explain the menu to us, and details about the items on the menu. The banana pudding is made with cinnamon graham crackers and dusted with cinnamon. It truly is a great twist on it and I love it. I did enjoy a hotdog with ketchup and mustard.hotdogs are an American staple I feel like, and Hot Dog King nailed these. They are simple, but a variety of toppings. I also had a side of fries. Their fries are nice, crispy and had a hint of grease, perfect. Angie brought out a sample of the BBQ and homemade coleslaw. I loved that she did that. I was nervous to try other things on the menu and she nailed it with a sample. The coleslaw was great. It was chopped up and a little runny, I like it just like that. The coleslaw was for sure packed with flavor. For me what would go well is some BBQ sauce. The funnel cake fries with a dusting of powder sugar so good! They can get hard if you get them to go because of the powder sugar. The shakes were creamy and made with soft serve. The corn dog, big and nice and crispy. The breading had a very mild sweet flavor and was cooked to perfection! Dipping that in mustard was the cherry on top. The interior had the whole hotdog theme down pat. They have been operating since 1972, a classic in the Hampton Roads area!

They also do burgers and brats, fries and exceptional onion rings and milk shakes. I sat at the counter overlooking the hot steel so I could enjoy the show in front of me. Most surprising was the cost for a very good frankfurter- $2.95 with a long list of toppings included. I went with the traditional brown mustard, relish and grilled onion bits put together by the masterful cooks, and added a long squirt of ketchup. Onion rings on the side and Pepsi for cool washdown. It was all a snack that put a smile on my face and a warmth in my stomach. Just enough snap from the dog, and a terrific greasy taste from the house made 'yuns. All the while I watched the cooks do their thing behind the counter and listened to their fun interaction. I even had a chat with Mrs. Gus, who was happy to have a new customer she could convince to become a regular. Loved her Greek accent. But for the fact that I lived 6 hours away in Pennsylvania, I would no doubt be a loyal regular. Still, with family in town, I have yet another great reason to return as often as possible to chow down! Five Stars for the grub and cultural satisfaction of a hot dog emporium than knows the way to keep an aficionado happy.

They have a pretty extensive menu for a burger joint, with nine Valhallas (stuffed burgers), almost 2 dozen signature sandwiches (think patty melts), several regular burgers, hotdogs, and several sides including onion rings (they were out today), tots, several iterations of fries, and nachos. I ordered the Jana - a Valhalla stuffed with Swiss and Muenster cheeses and mushrooms, topped with a fried egg and "Viking Sauce," a sort of chili or meat sauce that seems to be made from turkey. It's huge- I practically had to unhinge my jaw like the Midgard Serpent to bite it! This is a $15 burger and it is well worth it. Understand that when they say "stuffed burger," it's basically two burgers with the stuffing squashed between them on a nice, big bun. I may not need to eat again today. My Bride got the Frigga sandwich - a beef patty with bacon, caramelized onion, Gouda cheese and grilled pineapple tidbits. At $11.50, it's reasonably priced, and must have been good- she wolfed it down like it was Tyr's hand. We opted for combos so we both got tater tots crispy enough to do ASMR videos with and drinks- they have both fountain and bottled drinks available. We had one of each. With Newport News' exorbitant meals tax, lunch came to $46 before tip. I'm not even mad about it- it was worth every penny. An excellent meal with some great customer service. I'm not likely to make the hour drive just to eat here, but I will certainly be back anytime I'm in town already and need to slay my hunger Viking style!
