You can immediately tell that this is a local favorite. Everyone who came in spoke Spanish. We tried a few tacos, a soup, and the mole enchiladas. We loved how they use freshly made tortillas! Super fresh and fluffy. For the tacos, I liked the Asada the best between that and the Chicken Mole. Wished they have Al Pastor for us to try. The Mole Enchiladas were filled with shredded chickens. The mole itself was tasty. The Lengua Soup that we got was a hit. Full of tender lengua pieces. The broth itself is very savory and meaty, great for the cold weather.

I am VERY PICKY about menudo and caldos being their specialty I came in with high expectations. They serve it with hand made tortillas which is how it should be. I think it was GOOD but I have had better. AGAIN I am picky. But the tongue tacos were flavorful and they were very generous with the portions. My husband tried the caldo de lengua which def sounds iffy but let me tell you he LOVED it. We had never tried that before but he is happy he did. DONT hesitate and try it! I also loved the decor and the vibe, the place was PACKED but we didn't have to wait long for our food. The service was also very good, the cashier even offered samples which I thought was very kind. I will def be back!

Finally stopped and so should you- the tamales are wonderful, large and cheap. If the stand is open, we stop. Neither my partner or I are timid eaters but one of these babies makes a perfectly nice lunch. Our choices today were two pork and a couple of chicken mole. That's lunch for two days for 12 bucks. So, if you are in the neighborhood you should check it out. Big step up from more commercial offerings- very fresh and have that from the kitchen directly to your plate.

Their menu is limited focusing on the tamales, but they have a couple of other items on it as well Super friendly and helpful in explaining what types of tamales they have which can be ordered individually or by the half/full dozen (get a dozen, you'll thank me later!). We got a dozen mix of the chicken with mole, pork with green sauce and the jalapeño/cheese. The freshly hot tamales are thoughtfully separated and labeled by type and they offer small to-go tubs of green and red hot sauces as well. The tamales are amazingly delicious and full of flavor, we loved every one of them! A little bit of the hot sauces go a long way but add a nice kick! A cautionary note that these tamales are on the hot (spicy) side so you might be wary if you don't tolerate spicier foods. Cash only and limited hours, see pictures for hours or call ahead. All in all one of our best tamale experiences!

The interior is spacious, clean, and comfortable. We were seated in a booth and promptly welcomed with complimentary chips and salsa. The chips were warm, and the beans served alongside them were as well. Shortly after being seated, our server greeted us and informed us of the Friday evening drink specials. To start, we ordered a couple of house margaritas and the grilled octopus, both of which were excellent. The menu offers a wide variety of options, so we asked for a recommendation. Our server suggested the Molcajete Mexicano, which turned out to be a standout dish--rich in flavor and generously portioned (photo attached for reference). Overall, the pricing was reasonable for dining out, and the service was attentive and efficient. We arrived with modest expectations but were thoroughly impressed by both the food and the service. We look forward to returning to try more items on the menu.

I waited for the server to come back and mentioned that to him. He asked me if I wanted it warmed up. I said no and just ordered something else. I got the carne asada burrito which was ok. Not much steak at all. In the meantime my wife waited for me to get my food while hers was getting cold. Not sure if I'll be back.
