I was warmly welcomed by a nice young woman asking if I have ever been in before? Probably because she noticed the look on my face as if I were a kid in a candy shop! Well pretty darn close, the scent alone was divine and then she offered samples to help make my decision easier, with so many flavors of freshly made flavored popcorn to choose from. They have a few seasonal flavors which I had to grab along with some classics. A few drizzled in deliciousness or dusted with cheese. They have savory and sweet, salty and sour. Like for instance the pickles and popcorn flavor or rosemary parm. They even have a caramel cheese. I grabbed a seasonal peppermint and Santa's mix. If you buy more than 5 bag then they are $10 a bag. Of course it's the holiday season and I figured why not grab a few extra bags while I'm here to add to a gift. Briar Rose Creamy, which specializes in cows milk cheese, offers an open window for sample tasting, which is accessible after driving down a gravel road in Dundee. Their cheese is served on cheese & charcuterie boards at nearby Dundee Hills & Willamette Valley wineries. We were offered samples by the cheese maker's husband, who shared the story of their business, her journey from her early days at Cowgirl Creamy in Marin, to starting her own company, & advised us on their offerings. While tasting, we could see straight back into the cheese making facility, with people busy at work. It just doesn't get any closer to the source than that. We enjoyed each Briar Rose cheese we tried, but particularly the Butterbaby, a soft bloomy rind Guernsey cow's milk cheese, and their sweet, tangy, spreadable formage blanc. I wish they had been tasting their semi-soft cheese washed in Riesling and wrapped in Spruce bark, called Strapping Evelyn, but it wasn't available to sample the day we stopped by. We picked up several cheeses to take home. A must for anyone who likes an authentic farm stand experience.

This is the second time we have tried this restaurant and thought the first time wasn't good it was not as terrible as this time. We gave it a second try because we understand that some restaurants can have a bad night and things can be off sink in the kitchen. That being said this was just the worst and to add insult to injury it was over $70 with the tip. My husband did not even eat his after the third bite and I picked out the 3 shrimp and ate those. The Pad Thai were gooey and had 0 flavor as if they didn't add the tamarind soy or any thing else that goes in it. The chicken was hard. I could go on but it was disgusting. Don't eat here.

This little shop is absolutely adorable and full of charm. Most of their products are locally sourced, and you can feel the care that goes into the selection. The cheese and condiment options were phenomenal, truly one of the best curated selections I've seen in the area. They also have a cute wine bar tucked in the back, which adds to the cozy, welcoming atmosphere. The sandwiches and deli items in the case looked so good that I'm already planning to come back for lunch next time I'm in town. Everything looked fresh, high quality, and thoughtfully put together. The staff was friendly, kind, and clearly passionate about what they do. Prices were very reasonable, especially considering the quality of the products.
