Lancaster Office: I met with a PA Amanda Smith for a full body scan Dec. 2025 (4 prior skin cancer…read moresurgeries). I was hesitant to see a PA who may not be as familiar with ID'ing skin cancer. I brought in a list of concerns. I pointed out a spot on my chest that looked like a pimple that wouldn't go away plus sore. Amanda said it was 50/50 to her but she wasn't sure. I traveled 1 hour for this appt. & with prior history requested a biopsy. I called back afterwards and spoke to the office mgr. to inquire if I could meet with a doctor for my yearly next time. She said yes, then proceeded to tell me that Mohs surgery is only needed for your face (their onsite doctor isn't Mohs certified). That is clearly not true. Mohs surgery is to make sure you have all the borders clean before you leave the office, regardless of location on your body. I cancelled my yearly check in for Dec. 2026. My biopsy results came back as not cancerous. I received a call a week ago asking me to come back in 4-6 weeks since my area COULD be cancerous in the future! This office only cares about billing. Do yourself a favor and go to a Mohs certified doctor in Columbus if you have skin cancer.

I will never, ever go back and I wouldn't recommend her to anyone.

I was willing to go to their Lewis Center office, which I did December 4th. Dr George did the appointment, with other staff to look at my bumps and make that skin had any other suspicious cancer issues, which Dr George checked all over and all were normal items! On December 5th, Doctor George removed the largest bump removed. The 2nd bump was removed in their Lewis Center office, the 3rd and last bump was removed in their Mount Vernon office, taking all stitches out from the largest bump. He used dissolving stitches on the smaller bump. They also gave me a copy of the lab from the bumps that everything was Benign, Another friend referred me to Dr George.

While working on my wounds Alopecia came into the picture so now we are working on this issue. Dr. Kaffenberger has always been patient and attentive, I never felt rushed in any of my visits. Dr. Kaffenberger and his staff have also been very supportive and helpful, I've never had a long wait to be seen, the office is always clean. I have some skin issues, including cancer, in my family history so I agreed and scheduled the appointment with the referred dermatologist. Upon scheduling, I really appreciated that the staff asked whether I preferred a male or female doctor. Knowing that my entire body was going to be examined with a magnifying glass, I opted to have a female doctor. Leading up to my appointment, I received a reminder in the mail, a call, and messages in my MyChart account. Loving all that outreach! I arrived to find a giant parking lot in the back of the building, which is where I was advised to enter the office. I got there and was immediately checked in, paid my copay, and took a seat in the waiting room. It was clean (even the restroom) and at first, I was a little nervous that I'd be waiting a while. There was a good number of patients waiting to be seen. No worries though, because I was taken back to a room right on time. The nurse was super friendly and explained the process to be while confirming my medications and whatnot. After changing into a gown, the doctor and nurse came in and began my exam. It went by very quickly, everyone was very professional, and I felt comfortable from start to finish. Questions were answered, and I was told that everything looked good... what a relief! I was told that I should be checked about every two years and that they would reach out to me to schedule when the time comes. Jeez, thanks for making this so easy for me! I definitely suggest being seen here if you're in need.

When I called for directions to the office she was blunt, short and very rude. When I got into the office she was just as such upon check in and check out. I work in the medical field and would never speak to my patients in what I experienced. Upon check out I went back up to the window to inquire about a co-pay as none was mentioned at check in. Rhonda proceeded to say, it was 60, but that I was taken back before she could collect. I questioned this and only then was that statement corrected by her co-worker. I was under the impression that insurance verifications were done prior to appointments.
