We were looking for a school in the area that was not only rich in their curriculum, but a school that was diverse in its culture and one that embraced children of all ethnicities. I noticed that during Black Histoy Month (2/2023), there were no initiatives highlighted in the February Monthly newsletter to recognize the contributions of the many African-Americans that have contributed to American History. I decided to email the staff with ideas in which Black History Month could be incorporated into the curriculum, considering that there were a number of African-American students enrolled at HCA. I received a phone call immediately from one of the Administrators (Mrs. Juliana) stating that this was an oversight and that they would be sure to highlight Black History Month. I had a follow-up conversation with the Curriculum Specialist (Mrs. Giovanna)...and to my surprise, she had incorporated many of the items that I highlighted in my email! Not to mention, how swiftly she acted upon this. I would like to extend my SINCEREST gratitude for all that HCA has done for Black History Month and everything that they are instilling in my children daily. I was thoroughly impressed with the various learning activities the students participated in throughout the month. They exceeded my expectations on highlighting African-American culture and the many great achievements of some of the well-known Black pioneers that have contributed to AMERICAN HISTORY. Efforts such as these make my husband and I confident that we have selected the right school for our children. The staff is loving & patient- whatever they're going through personally I could never guess because they've always got a warm smile / have the entire place under control & at peace. Their Covid measures have been exceptional with wide open communication and precaution, the place looks spotless, the classrooms as well as the outdoor play area are spacious. My son is always in such a good mood when I pick him up and I love getting hourly updates / pictures on what he's up to during the day. I love their theory toward learning- that kids learn through play- so keeping everything fun has been the best for my insanely active 4 year old. The summer school disorganization continued with the school expecting our son to show himself to his new classroom in a school he had barely been in. Aracely personally walked our son into the school and made sure one of the teacher assistants would show him to his room. Aracely is exactly why our kids go to Winwood, with our kids safety in mind and go out of their way to help out in stressful situations.

We were part of Everbrook before Ms Tina made the courageous decision to shut the school down and clean up shop. She really got rid of the drama, cleaned up the space, and made it into a professional daycare/school. During the time it was shut down, we went to Everbrook Bristow which was great but too far away for our family. We then went to another daycare.... And the experience was awful. We were in a school which teachers did not engage with the children and did not care when children were fighting in the classroom. Our daughter started having nightmares, picking up these unwanted behaviors, and started having the most intense tantrums. I reached out to Principal Tina, she sat down with my husband and I for a couple hours while we explained the situation and what we needed help with. Ms Tina assured us we would be a team and Everbrook would be professional at all times. And let me tell you, we have a completely different child in about a month of coming back to Everbrook. My child's language abilities have exploded! She's 2 and asking "can I play with you?". She also says many 3-4 word sentences. Her behavior has immensely improved and we have not had ANY nightmares! Her teacher, Ms Huesna, really knows what she's doing. I see her down engaging with the kids and creating activities for the kids to learn all the time! Our family had a very poor experience at this center. I should have trusted my instinct during the…read moreenrollment process when the center leaned about my child's minor disability and demanded I complete a reasonable accommodation form prior to his start date. My 2 year old is in a physical therapy program, during the pandemic his therapy was strictly virtual.I was required to sign a document that stated "should the center be unable to reasonably accommodate my child's needs" he would be disenrolled. I assured the director Sarah Zirzow that he was an independent and active average 2 year old they did not need any "special" privileges or accommodations yet we were still denied a fair treatment. I took her actions as a simple inexperience in working with children with disabilities and abided by the rules. 1st day the incident reports began piling up. He was sent home with multiple reports of violent behavior which sounded nothing like my child. The director made the decision to not allow him to come back for the remainder of the week and put together a 3 strike contract terminating him from the program. My child was disenrolled in less than 3 weeks. I have made over a dozen contacts to the corporate office at the Learning Group asking for a call back and no one has yet to return my call. The center charged us for a month and a half worth of daycare expenses and has made further unauthorized charges against our checking account 4 weeks after his disenrollement date. A billing specialist at the leaving group finally informed me that my refund would not mailed for 7-9 weeks! I have sent multiple emails since requesting videos of the allegations, copies of incidents they reported that were never provided to me, an explanation to my refund.. none of which have been responded to. The center staff was very pleasant during the enrollment process but have very little to no experience in managing an educational program and caring for small children. The new center has not reported a single incident in nearly 4 weeks.... I feel so guilty putting my child through whatever happened at this center during that 3 weeks and not trusting my first instinct. He had never attended daycare prior to Winwood, and in the beginning had separation anxiety when he was dropped off in the mornings. The amazing front staff knew exactly how to calm him down and get him to smile . As a parent, it's very comforting knowing that I don't have to worry about how he's doing because I know he's being taken care of. Our older son has been attending Winwood for almost a year now and loves it. We absolutely LOVE the Kindergarten Club that Winwood offers! You worry so much: are they going to soothe my child like I would? Will she be loved & well taken care of? Safe? Will they pick her up & give her attention? The list goes on & on & on. But at Winwood everything is taken care of. They answered all my questions & ones I hadn't even thought to ask. I felt completely assured & didn't have a doubt that my baby would be & is loved & incredibly well taken care of. I get a report & notifications everyday, the teachers clearly communicate with you at drop offs & pickups about ANYTHING you need to know. They encourage you to drop in to visit, call, or log in online to view their cameras anytime to give you further peace of mind, but honestly I don't need it! The teachers are so incredibly caring & attentive. I feel 200% sure that Ms. Tina, Lauren & Kyong take excellent care of my baby! Every time I come in the room to get her, she's happy & fed & changed & being well taken care of, most of the time being held & in one of the teachers' arms. When I drop her off it's evident they care. Kyong especially always breaks into a smile & immediately takes her into her arms to hold her & starts talking to her & rocking her. That's such a reassuring feeling to know they love your baby as much as you do & are happy to see her, it's not just a job to them. Throw in the fact that this school is super accommodating. My previously arranged childcare fell through & I came in needing last minute temporary care for a few weeks with virtually no notice. Winwood took care of us without a problem. What my children have learned is impressive, but how they learn, and how much they love school is the reason I so highly recommend Little Sprouts. The teachers are loving and creative. They were so caring with my daughter that needed an extra hand. They were very involved with our IEP process, and gave a tremendous amount of support both in and outside of the classroom. Even after we moved onto elementary school, the staff still provided additional support to my daughter. In addition to a great classroom experience, they also offer art, music and movement, hands on science, Spanish and technology instruction. Little Sprouts is a truly exceptional school.
