He is currently a second year in the primary class. He has thrived in this atmosphere and without question stands out from his non Montessori peers. Stepping Stones is a private entity with reasonable tuition rates. I love the fact the lead guides have been there for a long time and are really invested in the welfare (saftey and development) of the students. There is a focus on the environment/nature, foreign language (Spanish), music, art and Yoga. This place is pretty impressive. Many parents send their children to traditional day cares where they learn little. You just have to observe to believe that the Montessori method works. I come from a traditional schooling approach and am amazed by this school, faculty, instruction and the resulting kids.

I can't speak highly enough of Abbott Nursery School. The teachers are positive and nurturing, and…read morethey know how to inspire children to learn in a playful environment. They genuinely appreciate children, have a deep understanding of child development, and have decades of experience between them. As such, they treat children as they deserve to be treated, respecting them as people and helping them to grow socially, emotionally, and academically. Our children learned that at Abbott, they and their classmates are all friends, and so they were encouraged to cooperate, support, and learn from one another. My children enjoyed going to school, formed lasting friendships and attachments to their teachers, and were well prepared for kindergarten when it was time to enter elementary school.

Mr.Gobel taught me to discipline myself and he was possibly the best teacher I have ever had. Ms.Harper (unfortunately and sadly to say passed away) was the most respectful, insightful, and interesting woman I have ever met, and it was a wonderful experience. Everything was amazing minus being flipped off in a car by Mrs. (now Ms) Colin's while I was in cross country practice by myself. overall amazing school. highly recommend.

There were obviously exceptions to the norm, but I was not at all prepared for college. The facilities are very good. I was the last class to graduate from the 'old' high school, and I really wish I could have had at least one year in the 'new' one. The class selection is not very good. Even Webberville has a better selection of classes, and the superintendent who is currently running the schools sounds like an incompetent idiot.

The Teachers are also very encouraging to the students, and they now offer online courses in which you get your full diploma for high school students.

I was there before they changed to a 5/6 school and 7/8 school. We were actually the last class to go through traditionally. I remember most, that Waverly was great preparation for college. Almost all of my classmates went on to higher education. I also remember the great after school activities that the district planned for us to keep us out of "trouble". Sports were fun and we were good competition for other area schools. If I still lived in Michigan, and Waverly Community Schools were the same, I would definitely send my children here!
