During that time, my PS5 somehow became separated from the other five items without anyone informing me that it was no longer being extended. The PS5 was in excellent condition, had its original box, a headset, and three games. I was later told it had been pulled and sold, then returned, and eventually resold. What bothers me most is how easily this apparently happened while I continued coming into the store and making payments. Nobody stopped me and said, "One of your items is different. You need to address this immediately." That's the explanation I still want. But there was another moment that made me look at this differently. While I was in the store, another customer nearby said that something similar had happened to her and then said, "What other choice do we have?" That question stuck with me. When large pawn corporations operate in communities where people may be using pawn services because they need cash and don't have many alternatives, transparency matters. Customers need to understand exactly where their payments are going, what items are covered, when something becomes delinquent, and what is going to happen to their property. I have contacted corporate and filed a BBB complaint because I want answers and accountability. I'm not claiming that I have personally proven a company-wide scam or that I know what every employee is doing. I am saying that my experience raised serious concerns, and I believe those concerns deserve to be investigated. The PS5 is just my experience. The bigger question is whether customers in our community are being given enough information and protection to understand what is happening to their property. If you use a pawn shop, keep every receipt, track every individual ticket, and don't assume Cash America might be worst than Monster Pawn. They have the same People giving 5star reviews like Jena and Whyte wolf just to shame a few.The slogan should be.. Come shop at Cash America -- where they scam their customer so they can give you the greatest deals!" Why pay full price when someone else already paid the price? We used to live in Springfield, so our visit last month was a stop in to an old haunt. It's not in…read morethe most frequented strip of businesses, but this is nice for parking purposes. Free and ample parking for everyone! We were happily surprised to find the store larger than it used to be. They finished an expansion this last fall that allowed them to expand space for large board game tournaments and swaps. Really love the board game library free to play from as well. Plenty of space to bring friends and hang out. The friendly cashier mentioned that they are working on a partnership with the local Whimsy Tea Company to serve their DnD themed teas in the shop while folks are playing. This shop has almost everything you could want in the way of games, supplies and figurines and all at great prices. Games are sold at or below MSRP which makes the choice easy to support them. Stuff on Amazon is rarely cheaper. We bought a small card game for some friends and went on our way, but this shop will always be a stop for us while we are in Springfield.

This was such a frustrating trip. There was a sign on the door saying to wear a mask, and we would…read morenot have entered otherwise. After we had already breathed the air in their poorly ventilated store for awhile, we noticed that several of the employees were not wearing masks AT ALL. I brought it to the attention of perhaps the manager or owner, who was also not wearing a mask. She told me that the people at the counter were required to wear masks. I told her that they were not all wearing them. She argued that they were. I told her that I had literally just seen them and that she could look for herself. She then changed her story, saying that the CDC does not require them to wear masks. I would prefer to shop places that do not put their customers lives at risk and argue with them for no reason. I DO NOT recommend this place to anyone and will never return...even after the end of this global pandemic.
