It is in a great…read moreand awesome location not very far from Hunter's Woods Elementary School where students can pick up and drop off books whenever they want to. It is certainly well maintained, organized and organized by it's owner and steward. 2 thumbs up indeed By The Way.

Located along the road towards the Utica Covered Bridge, this lovely and large Little Free Library…read moredid not have a designated place to stop my car. But it's a very quiet road and I pulled way over, so I think that was okay. Painted a light blue and with a shingled roof, there is a single plexiglass door panel. Inside, three shelves of books that were stacked neatly and quite full. A variety of mostly softcovers and mostly fiction, this is one of the better libraries that I've seen in a while. So many books! I ended up taking the Grisham hardcover with me and it will make its journey from Maryland to somewhere near Charlotte before going into another Little Free Library. It certainly is very easy to get to and access from Freetown Drive and the nearby sidewalks. It is a super awesome and spectacular little Free Library that is well worth visiting and it is well maintained, organized and taken care of by the Way indeed.

It is located in Mechanicstown Square Park aka Thurmont Square at the intersection of Church Street and Main Street. The park has some benches but I didn't spot any extended free parking. On a single painted yellow post, the library has one door with a handle. Inside, two shelves of neatly stacked books. Mostly paperbacks with a few childrens' books and some non-fiction. Inside, a great selection of paperbacks and hardcovers in an assortment of genres. I don't know that I've ever read Tom Clancy's Cardinal of the Kremlin so that came with me today. What's super about this library is that they have a hook for your dog leash as well as two small tubs of doggie treats. How awesome is that! This is charter 69300 and the steward is Gayle Bach-Watson. The online caption reads, "Our Little Free Library is an outreach ministry to the community around us. It contains books for all ages, as well as treats for our four-footed best friends, and there is a leash hook so you can hook your dog's leash while you brows the books.
