SO needed in our community…read more I love that it has SO many things for littles: They offer story time & bubble dance parties, dress up costumes, A play cafe & farmers market shop, A "camping" area, A sensory garden space, A "dig pit" with fossils, Water tables, A baby area with blocks & board books, And for the bigger kids- There's fun climbing structures, A sloped hill for "surfing" down, A creative space for crafting and science experiments, A whole wall for assembling Legos! And there seems to be more every time I go. There's enough to keep many kids busy for 2 hours or more (depending on their attention span). I also love that tickets give all day access, so you can leave and return, same day. It's next to a nice shaded area with picnic tables so you can have a little picnic lunch and go back in after. The facility is nice and clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Bonus: Their annual membership makes it SO worth it after just 3 visits!! Really a good value. Definitely give this place a try if you're in the area and have little kids!!

There is basically one big outdoor area and two smaller indoor areas. The feedback I'd give; More shade outside would be helpful. It waa very hot when we were there and not much shade. It is definitely one of the nicest goodwill stores I have stepped foot in. I walked out with roller skates for my daughter, a dress and a skirt. I was surprised that this store seemed messier than the one in Northridge, and the clothes don't seem as clean, some of the shirts actually had an odor, many had holes and stains. I perused the aisles but it is hard because the racks are so full that you can barely move the hangers. Under the racks you can see that clothes have fallen off hangers and are laying on the ground. I was also surprised to find some of the same exact clothes on these racks as I saw at the other location. This is an amazing research museum tucked away on the airport side of Camarillo. You won't just…read moreaccidentally stumble across it, but if you know where you're going it's not hard to find. They occasionally have pubic tours and they're regularly available for researchers. They have one of the most extensive collections of bird eggs in the US (to my knowledge) as well as study skins and taxidermy birds. The rare elephant bird egg has been in the news lately due to one being auctioned for around $65,000. This facility has over a half dozen big beautiful intact eggs. Additionally, they have taxidermy examples of extinct birds such as the passenger pigeon and ivory billed woodpecker. I visited on a public tour day and showed up just as the last tour ended. They kindly allowed me to take a quick walk around and I got to talk to the director as well. Everyone was extremely polite and friendly to me and I very much look forward to returning when I have the time and opportunity to enjoy their displays!

I don't think I would go out of my way to visit this thrift shop, but if I'm in Ojai I would definitely take a peek to see what treasure it may hold. On my recent trip I bought a white puffer vest that fit me perfectly and it didn't even look like it's been used. There's also a deal on Grubhub where you can get a free box of cookies if you spend $15 (basically buy 2 boxes, get 1 free). Each box is $5. Great deal that ends by 3/31!

Upon entering, I can see that it is busy and smelling good too. Pretty good sized store. I have noticed that there are no discount days like how it is in the SF Valley. Michael Kors bag was $29.99. Tory Burch was $49.99. In other stores it would have been much higher than that. I looked around and saw a gently worn Kids shoes for $5.99, Towel for $2.99 and a skirt for $4.99. It was a good shopping experience. No line at the register so it was a fast transaction. *Private parking that is shared with other businesses. *I haven't noticed a restroom nor a fitting room.

When you're already charging prices like this on donated merchandise, it feels completely tone-deaf. A nonprofit should be focused on making donated items accessible to the community, not pricing them like a retail furniture store. This experience was disappointing and honestly makes me question whether Goodwill is still serving the people it's supposed to help.
