It's a used bookstore with more than 40,000 books; so prepare to spend at least an hour (if not an afternoon) perusing the bookshelves. It's easy to get lost in the stacks here, as there are LOTS of hallways and a labyrinth of rooms. There is a room for small gatherings, a rare book room, and an alcove to tuck away with a book. One window in the store has a bit of nostalgia as it overlooks Bob Dylan's old apartment (and is now the Loring Bar). If you love a used bookstore and a historic site, this place is worth a visit.

The Friday night event was FREE and had a Q&A panel at the end. Learned so much about the writing process and how to move through writers block. I'm not a writer but still felt welcomed and enjoyed myself. The event was about 90mins. Afterward we had dinner at Grumpy's- very close by such that we walked there (one block). I needed parking for more than 2hrs and found a nearby lot by Dunn Bros for $4 all night. We will definitely return for the next event!

In MN, keeping it safe not only means away from theft but also from salt and temperature extremes. I have found Classic Auto Storage to be an outstanding way to accomplish all of the above. Located in a nondescript, multi-level building in a quiet, industrial part of town, when you drive by it you would never know that within its walls are some of Minnesota's most precious personal automobiles. I rest very easy knowing that the building is secure, temperature controlled, maintained, and insured. The guys running the place are car enthusiasts and each time I have been in there, I am amazed at all of the auto industry nostalgia hanging on the walls and parked in between the lines. I winter a vehicle here every year and love dropping it off and picking it up because it gives me a chance to wander inside to see some of the other cool cars that are within. This is not a daily in-out type of parking garage so those looking for a convenient place to park need not even consider. It is designed for long-term storage like leaving it in for months at a time. Longer-term auto storage is a bit of a niche market that most people will not understand. But for those of you that do, this is about as good as it gets unless you are fortunate enough to have your own personal garage large enough to house your stable of addiction. I'm not originally from MN so being a vehicle enthusiast in this climate was a whole new education for me when I moved here. Thank goodness for this place. Without it, my auto hobby would have been short-lived.

Then I found these guys. They don't advertise (I found them via a google search), which was a little frustrating, but when I met the owner he mentioned that they always fill up and it helps them keep their prices low...which they are vs other options. I'll re-review when I pick up my car in the spring to see how it fared.

This leads to a hiking and biking trail that goes on for miles through Shakopee. Look for an 1860's village recreated with actual buildings from the era. There is parking if you want to save some time. Best to pick up a small brochure with map and location of more trails in the area from Stagecoach Rd. There is a lot of walking if that's your choice, I saw more adventurers on bikes and electric bikes which is ideal for the long trails which are mostly paved or smoothed.

And I see many more graves that are also red flagged. I have received no phone call and no letter from Roselawn, but when I inquired, I was told that the red tagged plantings will have to conform by Aug 15th. That's exactly two weeks notice. My little 14" by 36" garden was perfectly fine for 18 years but now, due to a change of board members, suddenly over night my planting does not conform.
